Chapter 21

I updated chapter 20 so before you read this chapter please go back and re read chapter 20 otherwise it won't make sense.

I shoot up in my bed breathing heavily. My body and bed are soaked with sweat. I jump out of bed and sprint to Dahlia's room; I stare down at her sleeping peacefully in her crib. My heart rate slows and I feel a little bit more relaxed.
I head back to my room and Tyler is standing by the door with his arms crossed.
"Look who's worried now." He jokes. I push him into the doorframe.
"Shut up I had a scary dream." He just laughs and lies down next to me. He runs his finger lightly down the side of my face.
"I love you Lux."
"I love you too Tyler." We are in our own little bubble until Dahlia starts crying.
"I'll get her." I sigh.
She is a gorgeous baby; she has Tyler's beautiful brown eyes but my wavy blonde hair. I twirl her little wisps around my index finger as I shush her back to sleep.
"She is gorgeous isn't she." A soft voice whispers. I turn around slowly and see my mother standing in front of me.
"Mum." I whisper.
"You are going to be an amazing mother."
"Well I did have you as my role model."
"I came to thank you for naming her after me."
"That's okay mum." I hug her watching out for Dahlia as I do so.
"She looks just like me." She gloats.
"Lucky her." I whisper smiling. I go to put Dahlia back in her crib so I can talk to my mum properly but by the time I turn around my mum is gone. I sadly smile and go back to bed. I nestle myself into Tyler and fall asleep.

When I open my eyes there is a tiny little princess next to me; Tyler isn't in the room. I softly kiss her on the forehead. I pick Dahlia up and head downstairs; Tyler is in the kitchen making waffles.
"Good morning sleepy head." He says.
"Good morning early bird."
"Josh is coming over to meet Dahlia today."
"Perfect." I smile.
Tyler and I eat breakfast then I go and feed Dahlia. Josh gets here around 12pm and we go out for lunch.
"Wow she is so tiny." Josh says holding Dahlia in his arms.
"I know isn't she, I'm not trying to gloat but she is gorgeous." I say.
"Just like her mum." Tyler laughs. I roll my eyes and continue to tickle Dahlia's tummy. I make weird noises in a baby voice at her for a good 10 minutes; Tyler and Josh sitting looking at me in hysterics. I glare at them both and they stop instantly.
"Don't you have some music stuff to talk about?" I ask.
"Actually no." Tyler says.
"We've decided to put a hold on the music until this little thing is 1." Josh says lightly pinching her cheeks.
"Okay well instead of standing there laughing at me maybe one of you can change this little princess' nappy." I say handing Dahlia over to Tyler.
"Great." Tyler sighs. Now I'm laughing.
