While the Pevensies were walking around Cair Paravel looking for something that could be found as a clue, but they did. While Edmund bends down, he looks at something that looks like a rock.
"Catapults," Edmund exclaimed.
"What," Peter asked, shocked.
"This didn't just happen," Edmund said, "Cair Paravel was attacked."
Then the boys run over to a wall and start moving it to reveal a door that already looks like it was tampered with. They look at each other, wondering who could have been here. Peter tears a piece of his shirt off and wraps it around a stick. He looks up at Edmund and asks him.
"I don't suppose you have any matches in there, do you?"
"No....but would this help?" he said while pulling an electric torch out of his bag.
"You might've mentioned that a bit sooner!" Peter replied with a smile.
While the four step inside with Edmund leading the way, Lucy pauses when she sees the treasure room, and there are four chests below. Then they rush down below.
"I can't believe it. It's all still here," Peter exclaimed.
They all run to their chests while Lucy pulls out a beautiful dress and puts it against her. She twirls around with it, thinking of how tall she was.
"I was so tall," Lucy said.
"Well you were older then," Susan replied.
"As opposed to maybe hundreds of years later...when you're younger," Edmund said with a helmet that looked too big for his head.
Peter blows away the dust from the item in his hands and is faced with a lion. While his hands roam around the plate, his hand hits a piece of paper. While flipping over the large golden plate, he finds an envelope with something else inside it. He pulls it off and walks away and towards his siblings.
"What is it?," Lucy questioned.
"My horn. I must have left it on my saddle the day we went back. Peter what is that?"
"It's a letter. I think. It's addressed to all of us," Peter said.
He opened the letter and pulled out the paper and read it aloud to his siblings:
"Your Majesties,
You may wonder how this letter had got here. Well, there may be ways, but you had already seen the door that was already tampered with. I want to inform you that I mean no harm. My name is Killian. I understand you would see me as an intruder from another mainland, but I belong here in Narnia.
My professor had told me of a prophecy where 'a son of Adam will rise of light or dark. He will be claimed on the day of man and Narnian war. Will he be reunited with the light and fulfill what he has finished, or will he be claimed by the dark and turn away from his loved ones.' There are many things all of you should know. Narnia is a savage place for your well-being now. You must trust no one else who will only help you with the things that you need.
Inside the envelope is something valuable to one of you. I found it in the hands of the enemy, my uncle Miraz. The object is the healing juice of the fire flower. I hear, dear Queen Lucy, you have to keep a good eye on this.
As for many of my uncles, men will surely know to come after it. As for Susan and your horn, I am truly sorry. When I went to get your sister's cordial, it was already gone.
There is one thing I need to explain to you before I give you a farewell. There is one thing you should know. My brother, Caspian, he is recruiting an army in two days' time. We are all not what we think we are.
Long live Aslan."
"Does this Killian know what he is doing? He seems like he knows everything about us," asked Edmund.
"I don't really know," replied Peter.
When he said that, he walked slowly to his chest and opened it, then he took his sword and drew it slowly, and read the inscription:
"When Aslan bears his teeth, winter meets its death."
"And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again." Everyone we knew... Mr. Tumnus and the beavers... they're all gone," says Lucy.
"I think it's time we found out what's going on, and find this Killian and Caspian," exclaimed Peter.
While two soldiers row down the river with a prisoner in their boat. The prison, you might ask, is Trumpkin. One soldier looks at him, who is bound and gagged. Trumpkin looks at the soldier with a glare.
"He won't stop staring."
"So don't look at him."
Trumpkin continues to stare at the same soldier as before. When they stopped and looked around.
"Here's fine."
The two soldiers lift Trumpkin up, but were brought to a halt by an arrow being lodged in the side of the boat. They look up to see Susan, but they don't know who that is. Then the rest of the Pevensies ran up and drew their weapons. When Susan puts another arrow to the string. She yells out:
"Drop him!"
"Drop him?" Trumpkin's voice was muffled by the gag.
The soldiers drop him into the water and one of them picks up a crossbow, and Susan shoots him. The other jumps and swims away from where they were. Trumpkin sinks to the bottom of the lake and Peter dives in and brings him back to shore. While Edmund pulls the boat to shore. Lucy pulls out her dagger and cuts his bounds, and Trumpkin pulls the gag out of his mouth and coughs up water.
"Drop him!? That's the best you can come up with?" Trumpkin asks.
"A simple thank-you would suffice," Susan said.
"They were doing just fine drowning me without your help," he replied.
"Maybe we should have let them," Peter retorted.
"Why were they trying to kill you anyway?" Lucy asked.
"They're Telmarines. That's what they do. Well, not most of them."
"Telmarines? In Narnia? And what do you mean most of them?" questioned Edmund.
"Where have you been for the last few hundred years?"
"It's a bit of a long story," Lucy replies.
Susan hands Peter's sword back while Trumpkin notices the hilt and looks back at Peter. He surveys the four of them and finally spoke.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me. You're it? You're the kings and queens of old?"
"High King Peter... The Magnificent."
"You probably could have left out that last part," Susan said.
