Today was the day after Lydia had shared with Kira and Hayden her secret. Lydia's secret was like a threaded needle once she told them the four were sewn together. Since today was Friday that meant that Lydia would have to work at her stepmother's fashion company after school. Lydia wasn't the only person in her household besides Victoria that worked at the company. In fact all three of her stepsisters did too. It just so happened that her stepsisters would be working at the office the same day as Lydia.

Before heading to the company straight after school Malia dropped off Stiles at the auto-body shop to pick up his repaired Jeep. Then Malia and her siblings drove to a local smoothie place in Malia's silver Lexus with music soaring out of her car. Malia wore her cheetah print sunglasses, Erica was slowly nodding her head and tapping her foot to the beat of the music, and Cora was obnoxiously singing the lyrics to the song that was playing on the radio. Once the girls halted at a red light Malia turned to the backseat in a fury and began to scold her sister, "shut up, Cora! I have like a million things on my mind right now and your god awful singing voice isn't helping!" Malia's sisters avoided making eye contact and saying another word to her since that was what the both of them thought she wanted. "Hello? Aren't you both curious on what's on my mind right now?" Malia asked, tilting her shades to the bridge of her nose.

"Oh yeah of course. What's wrong Malia?" They asked in unison.

"I'm worried about Stiles' mystery girl from the dance. Well as you know Kira, the mystery girl, and I were announced as the nominees for Prom Queen today.  Which leads my mind to thinking god awful thoughts.  I know right now that Kira won't win, but what if this unknown nobody wins?  What if the whole idea that no one knows who she is behind the mask gives her votes for Prom Queen? I'll be not only humiliated, but infuriated, and... I need another word ending with iated."

"Irritated," Erica suggests.

"Exactly I'll be all that and more if she wins.  I refuse to let this nobody win. She just can't waltz in and steal the title that I have been dreaming of since I wore my first tiara," Malia exasperated, before sighing.

The end of their school day soon approached which meant that Lydia had to go to work after school today at the fashion company that her stepmother was now in charge of, Poison Rage. Allison dropped Lydia off since she worked across the street at her father's recreational sports store, Silver Hunters.

Lydia was wearing a white short-sleeved dress that came just above her knee with a pair of tan bootie wedges to match with her tan cardigan and a black crossbody bag that she also wore to school that day.

Lydia worked at the front desk with one of her parent's employees that used to work very close with her parents, Melissa. Melissa once held a very high position at the company, but once hurricane Victoria stepped into the company Melissa eventually tumbled down the ladder that she worked so hard to climb up and now worked behind the desk as a receptionist.

Lydia swirled into her desk chair at the circular desk in the middle of the lobby which glided her towards the direction of Melissa. Melissa was twirling the phone cord in one hand and in the other she was jotting down messages with her phone resting in between her ear and shoulder, she was clearly busy answering the phones.

"Yes, Ms. Cross don't worry I will make sure to pass the message on. Now goodbye, Ms. Cross," Melissa said through the other line of the phone. Melissa immediately hung up the phone, turned to face Lydia with her palm resting on her chin, and a smile plastered on the motherly face. She brushed Lydia's arm and said, "I haven't seen you in about a week thanks to Victoria keeping you locked away at your house, so what's new with Lydia Martin?" She questioned.
