Friday came by like a lighting bolt, striking with an impact. It was there in a flash. The school day was quite frankly a bore, besides the pep rally at the end of the day. Everyone went to the pep rally, except for Lydia who was busy making up a test that she was absent for the day before. Today was the day that Stiles and the rest of the Beacon Hills lacrosse players returned from the short trip that Coach took them on in preparation of tonight's game.

As much as Lydia wanted to go and see Stiles, she couldn't. Lydia was strict on academics and so was her Discrete math teacher.

At the assembly Stiles searched the stands for Lydia, but couldn't find her. It was like looking for Waldo, only differences were that Lydia was much prettier and Waldo was actually present in every picture. So as a result, he figured that Lydia was busy doing something more important and he would have to tell her later at the game. However, Stiles' was beginning to doubt if she would still attend the game.

It was almost eight o'clock the game was approaching quickly. The players had been warming up since six and Devonford Prep arrived with their team at seven to begin their warm ups. Coach had stopped the boys from practicing their drills and led them back to the locker room where Coach gave the boys his reputable Independence Day speech, "Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind."" Coach then pumped his fist in the air saying, "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!"

The boys cheered in excitement as they banged on lockers and slammed their cleats on the concrete floor, before Coach quieted them down and read out the starting positions on his clipboard. "Listen here, boys!" Kira then tapped Coach on the shoulder slightly annoyed, "and Yukimara." She smiled when he referred to her being on the team. "Go get some luck from your parents and girlfriends or boyfriends before heading onto the field, because you guys are gonna need it! And Greenberg, don't waste anyone's time just stay on the bench, because no one can help you!"

All the guys and Kira evacuated the locker room and headed towards the bleachers so they could receive some positive thoughts and support before heading onto the field. Scott and Stiles headed over to their parents first to chat with them before the game. Stiles' Dad whispered in Stiles ear after reaching in to give him a hug, "There's a scout from Duke University sitting a few seats over."

Stiles' immediately broke the embrace and stared at the man wearing a Duke lanyard. Stiles' Dad gave him one more pat on the back, before saying "Do well, son and you too, Scott!" Stiles' gave a quick hug to Melissa, before leaving with Scott to meet up with Allison and hopefully Lydia.

Liam was already standing talking to Mason, Corey, and Hayden with Isaac and Kira standing next to them talking to Allison. Scott and Stiles jogged over to them in their cleats. Scott gave Allison a quick peck on the cheek while Stiles scanned the area for Lydia. Stiles scratched his forehead with his lacrosse glove, "Where's Lydia?" He asked.

And then before he knew it, his question was soon answered. Lydia crept up behind him and tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. He turned around and she immediately noticed that he was tanner and sweatier than last time she saw him. "Hey," she greeted with a small smile.
