Ok so this is another version of "The Good in Getting Turned Down." A Treddy version of the one shot was requested by @foreverinmind12 . It going to be a little different but the same basic idea. Enjoy!

Tomika's POV
ninth grade

"You have to ask him on the Sadie Hawkins dance or else someone else will."

"I know, I will."

"You have to ask him today."

"I will!" I yelled at my best friend, Summer as she nagged me to ask my crush, Zack Mooneyham, to the girls ask guys dance.

"Do it now."

"Ok I will. I'm going right now."

"Good luck." Summer said. I saluted her and I walked over to Zack.

"Hey Zack!" I said.

"Tomika, hi."

"I was wondering if you really want to go to the dance with me?"

"Uh..."

"You know, I really like you Zack. It would be over the moon if you said yes!"

"I really want to say, Tomika, but I respect you too much to lead you on like that. You're like my best friend that's a girl. It would just be awkward, and I like Harper. I'm really sorry."

"No, you're good. It's my fault. I shouldn't have said anything...have fun with Harper at the dance." I said, plastering on a fake smile.

"Thanks." He said, genuinely. He walked away and I waved. I went to sit at my favorite spot in the school, the flat part at the end of the staircase of the back hallway. I didn't feel like crying, but I just wanted to be alone. I had ruined my whole friendship with Zack. That's going to be hard to rebuild. Suddenly, Freddy appeared beside me.

"What are you doing here?" I scowled.

"I heard that Zack just turned you down."

"Yeah so. If you even think about teasing me about it I will rip you arm off,"

"I wasn't going to tease you. I came to tell you I think that Zack was wrong for rejecting you."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I could never turn a girl amazing as you down."

"You turned Summer down plenty of times in seventh grade."

"That was different, that was old Freddy. New Freddy would've give old Summer a chance."

I laughed.

"Anyways, I wanted to give you this..." He said.

"Give me what?"

I was cut off by Freddy's lips meeting with mine.

"You kissed me."

"There's always something good in getting turned down." He smirked.
