Devil I Adored!

Part 1

"Guess what I broke up with Stan!" exclaimed in the most casual tone Rach my college friend,  "WHAT!! But it was just a month!!" shocked to her statement I responded, this was her third break up in the past seven months. "Aaarrghh!! He was getting way too possessive.. Oops! sorry how would you understand my situation you haven't dated anyone EVER!" And there she went on giggling with the other girlfriends of hers passing on their opinions on my virgin dating life. 

Why do I even hang around with them! Damn man! 

Ohh.. That's because you don't have the bloody guts to go and talk to other girls in the college..

Don't cribb if you can't do anything about it Amelie!! 

These were all the thoughts that were lingering around in my head when I accidentally crashed into the table in the canteen and fell face down creating a scene for myself. 

There you go cherry on the top!!

 As I passed the giggling and nasty comments of the crappy girls  of the college canteen I ordered myself an orange juice and large packet of chips to munch on ( that was my only way I could hold on to my anger in such situations)

Flashback

Since I was brought up in an all girl's convent school I had obviously no interaction with boys. Adding up to my sores the school I studied from my mother was a teacher and not just a teacher a strict one indeed. Due to which no student befriended me. Left alone I spent my years of school as timid as a mouse. 

Although I did manage to make three best friends whom I would call my universe namely Michelle, Joanna, Mia. But they ended up in other colleges with respect to their field of expertise.

And I ended up with the same lot of obnoxious girls who would think no end of themselves and would leave no stone unturned to make a fool out of me or take advantage of me in terms of my vulnerability in college to  get their work done.  

Present Day

"So who's next then Rach?" asked the ever grinning and obsequious Veronica. She would never stop flattering Rach under any circumstances be it on the horrible looking dress she wore or any horrendous looking guy she'd be dating. "Oh!! this Stan's best friend asked me out for dinner tonight, but I'm not quite sure what to wear? You coming over to help me decide?" asked Rach flicking her hair at Veronica who had agreed before Rach had even completed her sentence.

I stood there in utter disbelief how could she go out on the same day she broke up with her boyfriend. And that too with her ex-boyfriend's best friend. But I may had seen this coming but not quite so soon and definitely not on the same day of the break up that I imagined her going on a date.

Did relationships work that way or was it just with her!

Man she was pro at it!! 

There I just hoped and prayed that when the college would get over and I would get away from her "how to deal with possessive men?"  lessons which frankly I was not paying any heed to.

Day passed and I walked outside my college to find my car waiting outside. I sank into the backseat, put my earphones on and let Lady Antebellum dance away with my heart and drifted off to sleep.
