"It scares me that you never know what someone is thinking or feeling towards you and everything that they say could be one massive lie.."
We all waited impatiently for Vihaan to call back, ignorance was worst than his outburst to such a situation we thought. But it was Vihaan very unpredictable.
Damn it what's taking him so long!! He just has to curse.. then call back.. say a few god damn things and I say sorry.. end of story.. but this is arrghhh...
My conscious was again taunting me 'you played with his feeling Amelie'
Oh! Zip it, he lied to me too saying that he didn't text back first and that he didn't want to speak and now this..
Just when I was fighting with myself it was Vihaan's call before the second ring could go on I received the call.
"What took you so long?" my first sentence.
"You didn't even let it ring the second time were you and your friends waiting for the call desperately, then target achieved." He giggled
Wtf!! Target?? you ass****
I stayed quiet on the phone until he continued to speak.
"Kidding!! Amelie I'm sorry for lying, I know it's my fault I shouldn't have lied to you in the first place that I wanted to speak to her and clear out all this nonsense that she had been doing. That's the only reason I wanted to speak to her and not a single thing more or less. I wanted it for us, I hate to see you suffer like that when you read her messages, you don't say anything but you're human at the end of the day and she opens up every possible thing of our past to hurt you and I just can't let you go because of it."
I was spell bounded for a moment until I found words to express my gratitude towards them.
"Vihaan, thanks for letting it all out!! But whatever happens we need to be each other's support, rather than her coming and telling me that my boyfriend called her up and all the crap that she usually does. Let's just forget it, and at least enjoy the rest of the day!!"
"Hmm. I've got dinner with family what about you?"
"Yuvril and Ahaya might be coming over to take me out too.. They wouldn't miss my birthday dinner for the world as far as I know them."
"Ohh yes Yuvril!"
"What is it with you and Yuvril.. ahhh!!"
"Nothing.. I gotta go.. I'll speak to you in the night.. I love you baby. For heaven's sake don't do this again.."
"Lol.. don't lie to me again and I promise I won't."
We disconnected the call after the goodbyes and I returned back to the three to tell them about the conversation. Of course my dilemma could never be solved without their opinion.
"You have to be careful.. I don't know I just feel like it." said Mich
"He's cute okay! Stop judging him.. Poor thing Amyy he loves you so much.. I'll take him if you don't want him." Mia joked around munching on the chips
Mich from far across the room threw a cushion at her knocking down her cell phone fro the bed.
"Michhhhh stoppp" cried Joanna
"Amelie do whatever you think is right for you.. You know Vihaan probably better than us. But then again don't do anything stupid that you have to regret." said Joanna
After the long day at Mich's place of lunch, movie and popcorn and coke I decided to return back home, I had already received a call from Yuvril saying they would be picking me up for my birthday dinner at 8:30pm as usual so I had to be ready before that.
I left from Mich's place and reach home right on time to get dressed, my family was like every year ready with my birthday cake and candles before I left for the birthday dinner. I had my cake cutting ceremony just like old times and the ever beloved hugs and kisses. And this time my mom had a special wish for me too 'may you make the correct life decisions so you don't regret!'
Oh mom!! What will I do with you!!
I smiled at her, I couldn't do much about it I tried explaining her my point of view, we would debate everyday regarding Vihaan but there was no proper conclusion to it and I was not giving up on him at any cost.
Meanwhile, Ahaya and Yuvril arrived and they managed to steal their share of piece of cake from birthday cake. While Yuvril, Ahaya and I would go out for our dinner my uncle, aunt and my parents would have dinner at my place it would be the usual flow. Dani was never part of the either, it was him and his beloved PlayStation.
We all three got into Yuvril's car and headed off to the restaurant to dine in. The venue was just a matter of few minutes' drive from my place but the view was beautiful it was sea facing.
Yuvril was best at picking up restaurants no doubt!!
We got our seats and placed our orders quickly, this was the first time we had done this. Otherwise it would take us hours to decide over the meal. But this time I guess hunger struck real bad!
"So how's the boy Amelie..?" Ahaya winked and I could feel Yuvril tense up sitting right next to her.
"He's cool.." I answered calmly after the incident earlier in the day it was better to keep it short and simple.
"He's sure to be 'cool' he's handling two girls at a time!! He's pro at it!" Yuvril snorted
My eyes darted from Ahaya to Yuvril and I saw Ahaya pass on death stares to him.
"Why are you giving him those looks Ahaya? And what is that supposed to mean Yuvril?"
""Amelie he's just.. umm.. you know him.. he's just possessive about you!"
"No Ahaya you're hiding something about my boyfriend and I want to know.."
"Well Amelie.. This might be news to you.. But did your 'boyfriend' mention this to you that last night we saw him with some girl on a bike, and not just night late night roaming. That wasn't enough I saw him with Vitali too the other day under her house."
My eyes bulged out of my sockets trying to gulp down all the information which had just been thrown at me to believe in and I didn't want to.
No way Vihaan would do this to me. I trust him more than myself!!
"That first one might be his friend, and you must be mistaken about Vitali completely. Vihaan would never ever do anything as such. I trust him, If I don't then there's no point of this relationship Yuvril. I'm sorry"
"I can't believe it Ahaya she's not believing us."
I saw Ahaya fastening her grip on Yuvril's hand and trying to calm him down.
"Yuvril you've got to let it go, and stop all this, worrying about me. You guys are judging him on his past and that's what is making you guys think all this that every guy similar to him is Vihaan himself. I trust my love."
Yuvril sat there dumbstruck and Ahaya trying to calm both of us down. The dinner had been served meanwhile, but I had lost all my appetite.
How could I eat?
My boyfriend was accused!!
I forcefully gulped down the food as much as I could and asked the waiter to pack the rest. The dinner was finished and silence and didn't go at all the way it was planned.
Damn it Yuvril!!
"Make sure everybody in your "boat" is rowing and not drilling holes when you're not looking.. Know your circle.."
Why do both Yuvril and Vihaan dislike each other?
