Part 39

"You'll always be my late night thoughts"

Vihaan's P.O.V

My boss had organized a beach party later at the end of the year when things had started settling down between Amelie and me. We hadn't met anywhere outside as yet, since we wanted to take it slow. Only her best friends knew about it and my office close friends. But I thought this was the perfect time to introduce her to my office  colleagues. Plus we would get some time to ourselves and it would be perfect place and we would party.. She loved to PARTY!!

So I asked her out for it. Excited wasn't just the word to describe her reaction that time. Firstly she was happy for the fact that I was taking her as my girlfriend and secondly she had never been on a night beach party because of her parents numerous restrictions she would get to go now.

She liked all of this, and I was happy that in all these months of our relationship I was able to give her this happiness, some quality time we both needed. So it was the perfect time and perfect place. 

The beach party was from the whole day until the night, but I, Amelie, Bernard, Leo, Samie an her boyfriend had planned on joining later in the evening. I put on my usual rugged jeans and a black T-shirt. 

We had a pick up at 7:30pm, Samie, one of my office colleague and a good friend was to drive us all in her car, but since Amelie hadn't informed her parents that she was going out with me we had to make up a small play. Samie insisted on playing Amelie's friend who was taking her out for her spinster party. But strangely she didn't have to go through the process. 

I wondered why!!

Before she could get into the car, Bernard jumped into the car and sat between the two of us. 

"You f*****g baaasstaarrdd" I cursed him. "Get out!!" I growled at him

She laughed at both of us and Bernard ended up passing towards the other side of the car. She scrambled next to me and I placed my arm around her shoulder when I felt her tremble slightly. I kissed her cheek and in her response she placed her hand on my knee..

Oh crap I'm ticklish there..

"Amelie.. baby.. I'm really ticklish there.. touch me anywhere else but not there please." I pleaded. She looked at me, suddenly I felt as if I had let my secret out to the devil I saw her eyes lit with fire and a devlish grin on her face..

F**K she's not an angel Vihaan!!

I moved my hand my hand from her shoulders and grasped her hand which was on my knee. I pressed her knuckles. She would press my knee harder, this made her giggle. I could see the little devil beside me having her fun!!

I introduced her to the rest of the people in the car and it didn't seem as if she was meeting them for the first time. She was good at socializing. One more on the cards..

We reached the venue at 8:30 pm and could hear the loud music banging and lights all over. Amelie couldn't take her eyes off the dance floor she seemed super excited. We stepped inside, I introduced her to everyone as my girlfriend and the reply she got was "Finally!!" to which she blushed of course. I picked up a beer, held her hand and walked towards the dance floor further down towards the beach.

I saw a different sparkle in her eyes, she was happy in these months of our relationship, she had put in so much of effort, the happiness in her eyes made me melt I held on to her hand tightly I just didn't want to leave, we sat there on the rocks for a while I offered her my beer but she didn't want to drink she was busy drinking the moment and that made me smile.

Suddenly Stereo Love was played and before we knew it we gave each other the look and we were on the dance floor dancing our way through the song. It was the song we had both been in love with recently and with the ambiance it was the perfect blend. She wrapped her arms round my neck and I had them round her waist and closed the distances between us. 

We kept on smiling at each when suddenly my other friend backed us with his girlfriend and the next thing we knew was that we four were dancing in a group with our women in between and the two men holding hands together.   

We kept on dancing until the dinner was out. We shared our plates and in the fun I didn't realize that while she took her sip of the beer and talking to me. I had pounced on her piece of chicken and when she looked back at the plate there was nothing left. "Where the hell did the chicken go??" she exclaimed in confusion 

Then looking at me "I was eating that you idiot!!" she gave me the look!! "Whaaaatt I'm a growing child I need food and other necessities if you know what I mean" giving her the smirk. 

"Shut up.. I'm not going back to get it now.. A**" she said looking at me narrowly.. 

Ohh I loved to bug her too now!! I had fallen for her..

One of an old classic Indian song played out of nowhere which was so sudden that I left the plate and the bottle of beer on the table, grabbed her hand and we ran to the dance floor were we saw almost everyone dancing to it.. Lyrics went something like "jahan teri yeh nazar hai meri jaan mujhe khabar hai.."

Amelie's phone started vibrating... "Mom's calling I need to get home.. It's 1:30am.. by the time I reach it will be 2:30 am.." she said and I knew the evening was to the end but we had the ride home.
