I got dressed glen came back in completely oblivious that I had heard him I decided to try and catch him out and see what he was up to I did my make up and started on my hair I could see glen watching me from the bed I ignored his glare "danny wants to talk to you" he said "what about" "he wouldn't say after your dressed go see him" "ok" I answered "were going out to eat just you and me" he said "ok what should I wear" "a dress" I nodded he was in a weird mood I guessed he knew I'd heard him and was on damage control I got dressed into a clingy black and white body con dress and put on some black heels "you look gorgeous" he said he went to kiss me I gave him my cheek "I best go see danny" I said "ok" I left the room and went and knocked on Danny's door he opened it and looked me up and down "wow erm come in" "glen said you wanted to talk" "erm yeh sit down you want a drink" "I'll have a beer" I told him sitting down on the bed "you look good" "thanks what's up" "I don't know where to start Irma has got back in touch and I'm confused" "why what does she want" "she wants me back I just don't know what to do" "go with your heart danny" "that's what the lads said I just don't know" "if you've got doubts maybe that's your answer if it was the right thing to do they wouldn't be there" "maybe" we talked for another half an hour I finished my second beer and left I walked back to the room realising I'd not brought the key so had to knock a few moments later glen opened the door he was dressed smart in a shirt and black trousers he looked amazing he moved so I could come in the room had a soft glow to it there were candles lit all over the room and there was a table set up on the balcony "glen what's all this" "what's it look like come on outside" he said grabbing my hand he moved my chair son in could sit down then sat opposite me he poured us some champagne "hmm what did I do to deserve this" "no reason I just want to spoil you" he got up and returned with some food we ate and made small talk he disappeared again with the plates and returned with more food it was amazing he was pulling out all the stops tonight I wondered what I'd overheard earlier was he messing about with someone else I really didn't know he disappeared again with the plates and appeared with desert I noticed sat on top of the strawberry was a ring glen moved I looked up and he was on his knee "Charlie would you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me" I looked at glen and picked the ring off the strawberry and handed it to him "of course I will yes yes I'll marry you"
