I got home about 8 had a bath and settled on the sofa watching tv glen text me back "you really think I'd do that thanks a lot Charlie I was telling the truth about having to take Luke to school" I ignored him he text again "bloody talk to me stop ignoring me" "I can't I'm sorry" half an hour later there was a knock at the door I looked through the spy hole it was glen I slowly opened the door was going shopping with Carly and Jacob glen was texting me through the day I decided to buy some underwear to wear tonight "someone's getting lucky tonight then" Carly teased "if he's lucky" I picked us some food up and made my way home to start getting things ready I cleaned up the flat and had a bath and got changed and started on the food it was just pasta and salad but I started preparing it so I could spend more time with glen he as due over at 7 it was now 6.55 my phone beeped it was glen "I'm sorry to cancel so late but Luke did really well at parents evening so he wants to go out for tea with me and his mum" "don't worry I understand" I text back I opened the wine and sat on the sofa gutted he'd cancelled on me I drowned my sorrows and fell asleep on the sofa I woke up with a banging head I looked at my phone for the time there were various messages off glen asking if I was ok and could he come over was I ignoring him I text him back "I fell asleep" I got in the shower and got ready I had to go shopping on grafton street I ate breakfast quickly and drove there I bought some new shoes I was stopped by a few fans for pictures and autographs I carried on shopping and stopped for a tea in a cafe I recognised the voice in front of me it was glen he turned and saw me "hey I was gonna come see you I was bringing you a tea" he said holding out a cup to me "thanks" I told him taking it "shall we walk or do you want to sit" "we can walk" I told him "sorry about last night" he said "it's fine so you said he did well then at parents evening" his face lit up "god yes he's doing amazing in all of his lessons we're so proud of him he wanted us to go out for tea" "you don't have to explain glen he's your son he should be your first priority" I told him "I was looking forward to our plans I couldn't stop thinking about you all night" "really" I dared to ask " yes really let me make it up to you tonight you come to mine and I will try and cook" "I was meant to be seeing my parents" I told him "but I can see them tomorrow instead" "you sure" "yeh I'm sure" he smiled "I've got something's I need to do" I told him "same here so if you come round about 6.30" "ok where do you live" I asked him "I'll text you my address" I nodded as he typed a message I got it a few seconds later "so half 6" he told me again "I'll be there" we went our separate ways it was now 3 in the afternoon so I made my way home and started getting ready I chose a pair of black skinny jeans and an off the shoulder jumper that was white with black stars on and a pair of converse satisfied with how I looked I made my way to glens house his house looked beautiful from the outside I got out my car and rang the doorbell he answered it looking flustered "hey" he said giving me a quick kiss on the cheek I took my shoes off at the door "come through I think I've fucked dinner up" he shouted over his shoulder the kitchen was full of smoke "jeez glen" I went to the hob and the pasta was dried up and stuck to the pan burning "how do you burn pasta" "I don't cook much" was his excuse "takeaway" I asked him he nodded he grabbed some menus we decided on pizza he handed me a beer while we waited and sat at the breakfast bar I could see him looking at my bare shoulder his hand went to it stroking it gently we just stopped talking and looked at each other he leaned in for a kiss we must have been kissing for a while as the doorbell rang glen disappeared and returned a shirt while later with pizza we ate in the kitchen and when we were done we moved into the living room we just sat and talked and agreed to become a couple
