I didn't have much to do with glen over the next few months it hurt so much but he said he needed time I figured maybe he couldn't forgive or forget what I had done I knew I had to try and move on I just didn't know how to I'd moved back to Dublin and had bumped into Danny at the airport he asked me how I was I was honest and told him I was heartbroken he'd told me glen wasn't much better I'd finally gone to see Jacob he was the most gorgeous little boy and I finally felt proud that I'd helped bring him into the world I knew I wanted this one day hopefully with glen I'd seen what a caring honest man he was when I'd accidentally walked in on him skyping luke he was such an amazing dad to him Danny had asked me if I wanted to join him and mark for a piss up as he'd called it I agreed in the vain hope alcohol would help me forget glen I entered the pub in which we'd arranged to meet and saw them sat at a table pints in front of them and 2 empty glasses already I went to the bar to get myself a drink when Danny appeared at the side of me "I'm buying" he told me "it's fine I've got it" "no I don't invite a beautiful lady out to buy her own drinks" he told me "ok thank you" I said picking up my wine I followed him back to the table mark was on the phone to someone but gave me a small wave I smiled back at him "just us three" I asked Danny "yep he's with Luke" I nodded knowing he meant glen mark finished on the phone "now then Charlie how the fuck are you" "grand it's good to be home" "bet it is no place fucking like it" he said swallowing a mouthful of his pint "no there isn't how's rina and the kids" I asked him "there great" he told me Danny kept looking at his phone "expecting a call Daniel" mark asked him "erm no" he said putting his phone on the table the drinks were flowing I was abit tipsy after a few drinks I saw mark get up and walk to the door "don't kill me" I heard Danny mutter to me "what why would I kill you" I saw mark coming back he had company it was glen they went to the bar "I am gonna kill you Danny why would you do this" "because you both belong together you love each other" "yeh and we said we needed time" mark and glen started making there way over "look who could make it after all" mark said glen sat down opposite me everyone was silent I looked at my drink which was suddenly very interesting I felt Danny nudge me "you ok" "fuck you" I muttered I glanced up glen was watching us "I'm off for a piss" mark said "I'm off for a smoke" Danny said both of them got up and left us "I think we've been set up" glen said "tell me about it" "you look well" he said "thanks so do you" "how would you know you've not looked up properly yet" he said I looked up at him he looked amazing as always his hair was abit shorter and he had some stubble but he looked amazing I have him a small smile "see that wasn't so hard" he said "guess not" "do you want another drink" he asked I nodded he got up "what you drinking" "red wine please" he went off to the bar Danny and mark came back "has he gone" mark asked "to the bar" "you together yet" Danny asked "we've barely said two words to each other I'm gonna have this drink and go I think" I told them "no don't come on it will be fine" Danny said glen came back with my drink "thanks" "your welcome" mark and Danny had sat so glen had to sit next to me now I'm sure they'd done it on purpose they talked amongst themselves "I'm gonna get off lads" I said standing up "no stay and get pissed with us" mark said "no I'm fine thanks for the drinks" I said moving away from the table "glen will you stop fucking about and go after her" Danny shouted to glen I got outside the pub and pulled my coat round me I felt a hand on my back I clenched my fist and spun round ready to smack someone "Charlie it's me" it was glen I dropped my hand "sorry it's just instinct these days" "you getting a taxi" he asked "yeh" "let me walk you" "I'm fine" "please let me make sure your safe" "ok fine" we started walking neither of us saying anything we passed a cafe "do you want to have a drink" he asked "ok" I replied we went in and ordered two teas we were sat in silence "how've you been" glen asked "ok finally moved back here been spending time with Jacob" "really how's it been" "it was weird at first but he feels like he's my nephew now he's so cute Carly and James adore him" glen smiled "good how long you been back" he asked "6 weeks so what about you" "I'm grand spending time in the studio and with luke and the family" "bet he's glad to have you home for abit" "he is he's struggling at school at the moment so I'm glad I'm here" he told me "I miss you" I suddenly confessed "I miss you too" he confessed back "how do you feel about me glen because this is killing me" "the same I've accepted what happened with you and Danny I know it wasn't done to hurt me he made me see sense about how much you were hurting" "he did" "yeh no doubt he was ring leader for tonight's set up" we finished our teas and walked towards the taxi rank "I might just walk" I told him "not on your own your not" "I'll be fine" "I'll walk you I'm not letting you walk home alone" we set off walking after ten minutes we got to my flat "this is me" I told him "are you free tomorrow" I asked him "I'm seeing Luke" he told me "why" he added "it doesn't matter" "no go on" "I just wanted to see if you wanted to go for something to eat" "I can't tomorrow like needs me but I can the day after" he said "ok" "do you still have my number" he asked "yeh" "well text me tomorrow and we can arrange something" he told me I nodded "it's been good seeing you again" I told him "you too" he said smiling at me "I should go" he said he gave me a quick hug goodbye and he was off leaving me stood watching him leave once again
