Wolfpaw swung and flailed her paws, trying to miraculously grab onto something while she fell downward. All she felt was water streaming past her. She tumbled through the air for what seemed like forever, spinning head over paws. Until finally, she splashed into the pool, sinking below the surface. Immediately, Wolfpaw was sent spiraling rapidly in the water, the force of the waterfall and the pools stillness colliding, causing a sweeping motion. Wolfpaw continued to spin, her lungs tired and hot. She glimpsed the surface briefly, her vision rimmed with red. Then everything faded to black as she fell unconscious.

Wolfpaw's dream swam in front of her as she bounded through the forest chasing a vole, skipping around bushes. She pounced onto it and killed it with a bite to the neck, sitting down and starting to tear into the mouse ravenously. She picked it clean and licked blood off her lips. Looking around, she paused when she saw a grim faced Frostpaw heading towards her. She smiled then frowned, wondering what was up.
"Frostpaw! What's wrong?" Wolfpaw asked sincerely.
Frostheart looked at her. "You need to wake up." She said.
"What?" Wolfpaw questioned.
"Wake up!" She shouted, thrusting her head forward, knocking Wolfpaw down. She pressed her nose to Wolfpaw's, scrunching the bridge. "Wake up! Wake up!" Her voice drifted as more entered the scene.
"Wake up, please!"
"Wolfpaw, ya there? Wake up!"
"Wolfpaw, please! Don't leave us!"
Blinking open her eyes then squinting, Wolfpaw's stomach convulsed. Retching water, she coughed, trying to get air into her lungs. Angelkit gasped and licked her cheeks while Colby massaged her shoulders rhythmically. Wolfpaw gasped in and out, her vision beginning to get more vivid. Tears were rolling down Angelkit's plump cheeks and Colby's eyes were wide and worried. She was in the shallows of the slow moving river and Colby and Angelkit were both standing in the water beside her. She blinked and stared at the two cats before her.
"Wolfpaw, your alive!" Angelkit exclaimed. She wrapped her paws around Wolfpaw's neck, nearly choking her. "I thought you were gone for sure!"
"Heh ya, I'm alive." Wolfpaw rasped. "Can you let of me now?" She asked, groaning.
Angelkit gasped and unwrapped her paws. "Sorry." She said. Wolfpaw chuckled and stood up.
"So is your leg alright?" Colby asked tentatively.
Wolfpaw gasped, realizing she had forgotten about it. She glanced down at it and twitched it. Nothing but a bit of sore pain. Slowly standing, she put pressure on it and winced slightly. She shook out her pelt then smiled. "Yes, it's fine. I don't need the cast anymore." Angelkit and Colby let out a relieved sigh.
Wolfpaw looked around, seeing endless grass and hills. "So Colby, where are we?" She asked.
Colby smiled at her, a hint of sadness in her eyes. "Well, since we had to chase you down the river, we're much closer to our destination." She smiled weakly. "Why we're just below the lake. This is where I leave you two." She sighed, her eyes moistening.
Wolfpaw stepped forward. "What? A-are you sure?" She asked.
Colby nodded and jutted out her chin behind her. "The lake is just over that hill." She said. She turned back to the duo. "You should make it to the top by sundown."
Wolfpaw looked at her as Angelkit padded up to her and rubbed her head under her chin. "Goodbye Colby. Thank you and good luck going back home." She said, getting choked up.
Wolfpaw swallowed and burst out, "Would you like to come to our camp with us and join LightClan?" She asked her.
Colby smiled. "I'm honored Wolfpaw, but my housefolk are missing me by now. Thanks anyway."
Wolfpaw smiled and walked closer to her and touched noses. "Thank you Colby, if it weren't for you, Angelkit and I still would've been stuck in Twolegplace."
She smiled and closed her eyes. She reopened and looked into Wolfpaw's. "Your sure you leg'll be ok, honey?"
"Yes, and thank you for dealing with my bad temper." She chuckled. Surprisingly enough, Wolfpaw's eyes glistened as she felt tears welling. She blinked and licked Colby's cheek. "We'll never forget you, Colby."

The kittypet blinked and her cheeks flushed. "And I you." She murmured. With a sweep of her tail, she turned and began padding away, towards Twolegplace. As Wolfpaw watched her go, a thought came to her mind.
She began bounding after Colby. "Colby, wait!" She called, catching up to her. Colby stopped and looked at her. "How about you stay another night with us, our camp can wait." She invited.
Colby's eyes widened. "You mean it?"
Wolfpaw nodded. She nodded to the terrain around her. "Lets stay the night here."
Colby smiled. "Ok, let's do it."
