"Kari!"

She blinked. Kari looked around herself. She was in a large, fancy room with nice drapes and couches.

She knew immediately that she was in Serenity Castle and, although she'd never been to this specific room before, she felt it was familiar. She kept looking and saw people all looking at her with tearful smiles, one of whom came and tried to hug her.

"No-!" She pushed the body away from her. She shook her head.

She was with her friends.

Zing was standing a few inches from her.

She was saved.

"No." She kept shaking her head. "No!" She had thought of this.

Just a few seconds before, she had the idea that her friends would try and use her Varionstone to rescue her. Just a few seconds more and she'd have given the stone to them.

Just a few more precious seconds was all she needed, but they were gone.

"Kari! What's wrong? It's me, Zing. You're safe!"

"Another second...!!" She said. She ran her hands through her hair.

"Whaat-?" Zing grabbed her arm. "Kari! What's happened? What's wrong? Kari!"

"Let go!" She removed her arm from his grip. "Who did this?"

"Did-"

"Who used the Varionstone to get me? A Dowser? Where are they?" Kari said frantically.

"Kari calm down-"

"I am the Dowser." Iggy said interrupting Zing. "Are you not satisfied with being rescued?"

Kari stood in front of the Dowser. "If you had waited 5 more seconds, I would have been plenty satisfied." She sighed calming herself. "Do it again."

"Beg pardon?"

"Dowse! Dowse again. I need you to do it."

Iggy raised his eyebrows. "Sure. I'll just Dowse for you. Oh, wait. There are no crystals to Dowse." Iggy said sarcastically.

"Don't be a smartass. I am really not in a merciful mood right now." Kari said darkly.

"Kari, what is going on?" Roger asked.

Kari ran her hand down her face. "There are 2 very important people who are with Marcus right now as we speak. I was going to give the Varionstone to them, but you guys just had to rescue me right before I could!" Kari shook her head. "Damn it! I don't know where Marcus is taking them, but it won't be good I just know it!"

"How do you expect me to Dowse if the Varionstone is here with you? I won't be able to find these people." Iggy said.

"Yes you can!" Kari said remembering. "They have a crystal with them!"

"Really? But you don't have something that connects with it."

"Zing!" Kari turned to him. "Grandma Jin's ring, it has a diamond on it! And you are her grandson, so you're the connection!"

"Whaat-?" Zing said clearly confused.

"I gave her the ring, she has it around her neck. That's good enough, right old man?" Kari said. "That's good enough!"

Iggy frowned. "You really want to try it? It might not work."

"Do it! I've no other option! Please!" Kari normally doesn't like to beg, but in this case, it was necessary. "Please..."
