Chapter 10:
Renee's POV:
I met Niall again at the usual place. The big boulder at the edge of the woods.
"Hey." He smiled crookedly.
"Hey." I nodded. We both walked deep into the woods to the cave. The boys shot me dirty looks as I passed them.
They'd never realize I was helping them. That I was nothing like Maddie. I knelt beside Liam who flinched away.
"I'd rather die." He snapped.
"Don't let me treat this and you will." I growled. I didn't mean to sound harsh, but he needed my help.
Reluctantly, he laid back and let me dress his wound in bandages.
"I'll be back tommorow to change them again. You're bleeding heavily."
Liam hesitated, but finally nodded. "Thanks." It didn't sound to sincere, but I took it and began to leave.
"Meet you in the same spot!" Niall called out.
"Yea." I yelled back flatly, a queasiness growing in my stomach.
I was betraying my best friend...
Maddie's POV:
No sign of One Direction. I'm beginning to grow frustrated. I shouldn't have let them go. And it doesn't help with Renee always tired and not willing to help. I'd have to talk to her later. One on one. But for now... I couldn't do this by myself! I still have a world to run! I needed someone... Someone skilled... To track down my enemies...
