Chapter 5:
Maddie's POV:
I shocked myself in letting them go! That was abnormal... Oh well, it wasn't to much of a challenge. Ill find them again. Silly boys...
"What!?" Tia cried. "Why let them go!?"
"Because I can!" I snapped. "They offered no chase. No fun."
"I guess..." Jill shrugged.
"It was my choice!" I snapped again, this time more fierce.
"Of course." Renee agreed. I have her a nod of approval and thanked her.
"I wish you were all as loyal as Renee. Never doubt me like her!"
They all shuffled their feet uncomfortably.
"Let's leave." I suggested. "This building looks likely to collapse!"
They all followed me out of the building and the night sky greeted me like a dark blanket.
"We'll find them." I sighed out a breath of fresh air, my breathe a white outline.
"Of course!" Rayanne snarled hungrily. "Good bye for good!"
We all laughed and I looked over my shoulder. Renee was looking back, almost confused.
I let the group pass me and I walked up to her. "You alright?"
She jumped at the sound of my voice. "Oh... I'm fine."
"Sure." I said in a non believing manor. I knew she was hiding something now. The excitement I'd felt cornering the bastards left me brain dead. I'd find out some other time.
"You might want to turn in." I said nonchalantly. "It'll be a long day tommorow."
"Yea." Is all she said before leaving me in the dark black.
