Chapter 2:

Renee's POV:

I had to get out of here and get fresh air.

I got up super early and snuck out into the streets of the world. They hadn't changed drastically. Maddie didn't believe in making us live like animals. Even if we DID have to murder a boy band. The sun wasn't out yet and not a star shone in the sky. I was alone. The way I wanted it. I breathed in the spring air and exhaled, my breath slightly visible. I walked forward with my head down when I bumped into someone. I looked up quickly and saw a blonde boy looking at me, shock in his eyes.

I recognized him. It was Niall! I opened my mouth to scream but he clamped his hand over it tightly.

"Please don't scream." He begged in a thick Irish accent. "The lads and I wouldn't fancy being killed."

My heart pounded in my chest. Her I was. Face to face with the enemy. I struck out with my knee, hitting him in the not so happy spot for guys and ran. When I looked back, I saw him struggling to his feet and running the other way. I stopped, breathing hard. Was I to tell Maddie?

No. He was long gone by now. Better to leave it a secret.

Maddie's POV:

"We're so close!" I cried. Tia had found the boy's whereabouts and soon, bye bye 1D!

"They're toying with us." Tia told me. "They make it obvious where they are and then they out smart us."

I nodded in agreement. "That Zayn is probobly the cause of that."

"Why don't we go get them now!?" Jill cried impatiently.

"They'll just get away." Rayanne corrected her. "They're the cat and we're the mouse in this situation."

"Soon the roles will be switched!" Gabby said determinedly. While the four bickered, Renee slipped into the room. She looked rather jumpy. I considered asking her, but decided it could wait until later.

"Where were you?" I asked, rapping my knuckles on the desk.

"Morning stroll." She said casually.

"See anything?" Tia asked hopefully,

"Nope. Not a thing."
