Chapter 27:

Maddie's POV:

We walked for what seemed like hours in the woods. I knew it had only been a few minutes though.

"There is no sign of her..." Tia said quietly. "Maybe you were wrong."

I spun to face her defiantly. "I'm not. I'm sure there is something going on,"

Tia nodded and walked along silently.

"Wait." Sofia paused. "I hear one of the hounds approaching us."

I braced myself as one of Sofia's mutant creatures Burt's through the bushes.

"Tiberious!" Sofia walked over and scratched his head.

I look at the beast's claws, covered in blood. Sofia must have noticed to, because she bent over to examine them.

"He found them." She nodded excitedly. "Bring us to them Tiberious!"

The creature reared up on its hind paws and dashed away. We sprinted to keep up with him.

"Not so fast!" Sofia huffed. "I told you to get them not make us excersise!

I cracked a reluctant smile before running to catch up. The moment of truth was coming! I could practically taste the blood spilt all over the clearing. One Directon's blood to be exact. All of a sudden, Tiberious stopped and sniffed the ground.

We all froze behind him.

"He has the scent, they're here." Sofia nodded to me.

"We've got them!" Jill pumped a fist in the air triumphantly.

"Not yet." I willed her to calm down and keep quiet.

"Sorry." She murmured softly.

I finally have them. We waited at the side of a break in the underbrush, expecting them to walk through there. I saw Renee over the top of the bushes walking with Niall. It was strange. There were only four boys now. Louis was gone. Their leader. I smirked to myself. This was going to be to easy! As I predicted, they came through the groove and we were there, waiting.

"Hello, my deputy." I snarled.

Renee froze and so did the boys, they all examined us and their eyes filled with fear.

"Nice to meet up with you again." I smiled.

"H-how...?" Renee questioned."

"Oh darling." I stepped forward boldly. "You didn't think it would have remained a secret for long, did you?"

Renee gulped and I could tell I had her there.

"Leave us alone." Harry growled angrily.

"Sure." I smirked. "When you're dead."
