Chapter 25:
RayAnne's POV:
Maddie looked tense... Almost nervous as she led us into the open field, towards the woods.
"Are... Are you okay?" I tried to keep up with her quick pace.
"Fine." She answered curtly.
"Where is Renee?" I demanded an answer from her. Storming off to find her was not the right thing to do.
"I have a few ideas." Maddie nodded, not looking at me.
"Like what?" I stopped walking suddenly and so did she.
Maddie froze and seemed to be in deep thought for a minute. "You recall that old cave?"
"Yes." Tia interrupted, walking up to us. "We've been there only a million times."
"They've slipped right past us." Maddie growled. "Don't you see!?"
"No..." I shook my head, drawing a blank.
"Renee has been helping them." Maddie's blue eyes gleamed dangerously in the setting sun light.
"No... Not Renee." Jill cried. "She couldn't ever..."
"Actually." Gabby began, her cheeks becoming red. "The stock of bandages in running low..."
Maddie grinned evilly. "So. One of them is injured, yes?"
"I am guessing so." Gabby shrugged, a frown on her usually happy face.
"They won't get far." Maddie began her swift walk again, not looking back.
"If I may Maddie." Sofia trotted up. "We've no real proof she IS helping them!"
"Then I she'll figure it out Sofia." Maddie glared at her. "Don't question me."
"Of course ma'am." Sofia dipped her head and backed away.
"This ends now."

Renee's POV:
I glanced down at my cell phone and checked the time. 8:50. Well, Harry would have to suck it up because I was done waiting outside the cave till' 9:00. I quietly snuck to the opening.
"It's me." I hissed into the darkness of the cave.
"Come in." Harry growled softly.
I stepped into the enormous cave and saw the boys crowded around Liam.
"I said nine!" Harry snapped at me.
"To bad." I shot him a death glare.
"I'm do happy to see you." Niall hugged me and his warmth engulfed me, leaving my thoughts numb.
"Get a room." Zayn muttered and shook his head.
Niall held me at arms length. "Are you alright? You seem troubled."
"Nothing is wrong." I lied. Truth was, I was betraying my best friend, going behind her back and risking my life for her enemies. Not to mention dating one.
"If you're sure." He still didn't believe me but backed away respectfully.
I cast a glance over my shoulder at the opening of the cave before kneeling to tend to Liam's leg wound.
