Chapter 17:
Renee's POV:
When I saw Niall at the boulder, I do desperately wanted to turn and run. He saw me though. I had no choice in the matter now.
"Good evening." Niall nodded as we walked to the cave.
"Yea." I breathed. I snuck a glance at him but he was focusing on a tree. He didn't WANT to look at me.
I kinda felt my heart drop... I don't know why.... His attention means nothing to me! Or it did. I don't know anymore. When we walked into the cave, I got the usual glares from the boys and kneeled next to Liam to coat his leg in fresh bandages.
Niall's POV:
The lads hate Renee. That's obvious. If she was going to tell Maddie, she would have by now! They're just being difficult. I tried not to look at Renee. I simply could not fall for her. That was scuicide! What would the boys think? Unwillingly, I snuck a glance at her. Big mistake. She had her long, silky brown hair tucked nearly behind one ear. She was deep in concentration, wrapping Liam's leg carefully...
"You okay?" Zayn called over.
Renee looked up at me and I immediately turned away.
"I'm good!" I smiled weakly. Truth was, I was in love. I wasn't okay.
