Try and picture this. In the middle of a forest, is a large, open clearing. Within this clearing, is a fairly large machine with technology so advanced, even I have trouble figuring out how it works.
"Fascinating isn't it?" Juniper says from behind me, "My home planet has engineers and scientists working on the hour to make these things stronger, faster, and more efficient than the last."
"How?" I ask in awe, turning to look at her, "Just, how?" She laughs and shakes her head.
"If I knew I'd be working with them. But, I'm too short to work in that field." She shrugs and turns her attention back to the ship.
"What do you mean by 'too short?' You're average height for a woman." She rolls her eyes at me.
"A human woman. But for my kind, I hold the record for being the shortest. You can even ask Benja." She nudges the man with her elbow. "He kept tabs on the record holders." I look over at him and smile. I would if I could speak his language...
"Y-yeah." My eyes widen when I hear his thick accent. Did he just speak English? Or am I just imagining things?
"Did he just-"
"Yep!" Juniper interrupts me with a smile, "He still doesn't know a lot, but he was determined to learn. I'm sure you can help him from now on." She pats his shoulder before leaving. I stare at the man in shock. When did he learn? Let alone how? I'm sure I would have heard it!
"H-Hi Jay-Rome?" His face was pink, and he was playing with his thumbs nervously.
"Hi Benja." I say with a smile before hugging him tightly. "I can't believe you want to learn!" His arms wrap around my waist.
"You happy?" He looks back at me with wide eyes. His accent is so adorable! I just want to squeeze him more!
"I'm very happy." I embrace him more. "Would you like me to help you finish learning?" He nods and gives me one of the tightest hugs I've ever had. Man this guy is strong, and Juniper says he isn't a solider? How strong are she and Preston then?!

I smile slightly at the two embracing men before turning my attention to the small group I was in.
It consisted of Frags, the four leaders of the rebellion Xenia, Vikke, Lach, and Skye, and myself. Skye is a male name, so don't get confused human.
"The short one finally makes an appearance," Skye snickers at me, and I roll my eyes at his childish behaviour.
"She might be small, but she's an elite graduate. Don't test her," Xenia snaps, making him go silent. I like her attitude.
"Anyways," Frags states, clearing his throat, "How are we going to get Rob? Today is the, Day." He can't bring himself to say the word. I feel bad for him. If he could remember everything, he'd be a sobbing mess right now.
"Insight from my brother tells us that he was being held in solitary confinement. As we speak they're probably moving him to a holding cell for the big event.
"If we can get into the prison and locate the holding cells, we can get him out with only a few casualties," Xenia states, looking around at the other leaders."That depends on how many elites are guarding him." She looks over at me. "Sure you have Frags and I, but there are probably going to be hundreds of elites walking around, and Frags can barely remember his combat training."
"Hey!" Frags yells, "You promised not to mention that!"
"I didn't say anything of the sort Frags," I snap back, "I don't want you to get caught while in there. If the empress finds you, you're dead. And I can't do a thing to stop it." Frags crosses his arms and looks away, clearly showing that I won this argument.
"Enough." Lach glares at Frags and I before talking. "As for your statement M'ayris, I guess we should try our best to avoid the elites as much as possible. With that in mind, what we really need to know now is how we are going to get inside."
"Leave that to me," Xenia says with an evil smirk. I narrow my eyes at her. Whatever she has planned, there better not be any involvement of using anyone as bait. That is a death sentence waiting to happen.
"It's settled then. Spread this plan to the humans, then take it to action. We need to find, and save the prince as soon as possible," Skye states, looking around at everyone.
"But what if it goes bad?" Frags' eyes go wide. "What if we don't make it to the holding cells in time?"
"Then we'll go to the backup plan M'ayris told us about earlier," Vikke states, nodding toward me. They accepted it? That's good. If all else fails, at least we have that plan to go along with...
"Backup plan?" Frags looks at me in confusion. He can't know what the plan is. If he finds out, he wouldn't allow it. But if that time comes, he won't have a say in the matter.
"This meeting is over," Xenia states, standing up. "At the end of today, we either all have the prince, or we're all captured and dead."
"Understood."
