Chapter Eight

Elaina's POV

I woke up, realizing i have tears on my face. Must of had another nightmare. I looked in the mirror and my hair is a complete mess. And i had school today, too bad it's only Tuesday. I took a quick shower and combed my poor excuse of a hair. I put on a grey jumper and some ripped jeans. I put on grey UGG boots and grabbed my bag and went downstairs. Surprisingly my mum was home.

"Morning Eli" she smiled

"Hi mum, i'm off to school" I said, about to head to the door.

"You don't want breakfast?" She asked.

"No not really" I sighed and kept walking until i reached the door.

"Well take this at least. Have a good day!" My mom exclaimed.

She threw me a granola bar, eh this will do. I closed the door behind me. I decided to take my car since it looks like it's about to rain. I drove to school quickly, i just want to get this day over with. As usual i see Niall and his friends out front. I'm just going to pass them, i'm too much of a loser to hang with them. No surprise that Haley and her friends are there too. I climbed out of the car and sped walked to the front of the school.

Niall catches a glimpse of me so i walk faster. Fuck, he's looking at me. I reach to the front of the school and Niall calls for me.

"Hey Eli!" He greeted. I ignored him and tried to get to the entrance of the school. Before i can even open the door i felt a hand on my arm pulling me back.

"Hey! Let go of me!" I yelled, pulling my arm out of his grip.

"Why did you just ignore me?" He asked. He's really asking me this, huh?

"Oh i'm sorry, i thought you were too busy hanging out with your friends. Sorry i am too much of a loser to talk to you" I exclaimed.

"What are you talking about, you're not a loser. And what do you mean i'm too busy hanging with my friends?" He asked.

"Niall, it's obvious you don't want to hang out with me. I'm so stupid to even call you to just talk to you and not know you were going to just hang up the next second. Why don't you just go and hang out with those girls, you have much more interest in them" I snapped and walked away. I can never trust anyone. He's just one of those people who care for a while and just leaves.

I walked inside, not wanting to talk to anyone. I kind of feel bad, his expression looked.. sad? Why would he be upset? I walked to my locker to get my books and head to my class. Dammit, Zayn is there. He's probably going to ask me what happened. I'll just ignore him.

I stepped inside the classroom and there was Zayn looking at me. I sat down at my desk, waiting for Zayn to say something.

"What happened between you and Niall?" He asked. Whoop, there's the question.

"It's nothing, now leave me alone" I simply told him.

"You can tell me. Did he do something? I saw you guys fighting-" He speaks but i interrupt him.

"Listen Zayn, it's none of your business. Stop asking me these dumb questions and leave me the hell alone" I argued.

Zayn gave in and stopped talking to me, finally. This day is going to be hell. Well, since when are my days not bad?

Niall's POV

Fuck! I screwed up, again. Why did my dad have to ruin everything. She called at the wrong time, but if only he didn't come we would've never had that argument. But i can't do anything. I'm too weak to fight him. I let him abuse me because i know i can't do anything to make him stop. I'm weak. If only Elaina knew what really happened, she would still talk to me. I doubt it, she'd probably call me weak and a disgrace. She's no loser. To be honest i thought, well i still think she's the most beautiful girl i laid eyes on.

I need to talk to her. I don't care if i have to stay after school, being hit is worth getting back our friendship.

School is finally done and i'm outside waiting for Eli.

"Hey man, shouldn't you be getting home?" Louis asked me.

"Yeah, but i'm waiting for Elaina. I need to speak to her" I told him.

"Good luck man. I'll be with the boys over there if you need me okay?" Louis smiled and walked away

I'm waiting patiently outside until she comes out. Man she takes long. Finally she walks out of the school. She spots me and starts to walk fast. Shit.

"Elaina!" I called out for her. She ignored me and started to walk faster. Are we having a repeat of this morning? I ran after her and grabbed her arm and walked her to her car.

"What do you want Horan?" She asked, pissed.

"Hear me out. I'm so sorry i hung up on you so fast. I was trying to fix up something i broke of my dad's before he came home. I was waiting for you in the morning so i could talk to you. I'm really sorry Eli, please forgive me?" I pleaded. I had to lie, she can't know about anything.

"Okay fine, i forgive you. Sorry i snapped" She smiled.

"Thank you so much Eli, i'll see you tomorrow!" I exclaimed happily, i hugged her and kissed her cheek. I felt her blushing which made me blush too. I said goodbye and ran home. I totally forgot about my dad. I guess i'm getting an extra beating tonight. Doesn't matter, getting Eli back was worth it.
