Three days passed of Katie waking up, eating, listening to the blonde lady cry and going back to sleep. This became a routine. Katie was getting quite comfortable staying awake for longer periods of time.
On the forth day a beautiful tall lady with short brown hair and dark blue eyes walked into Katie's room. "Hello, I'm Mrs. Bee." She explained in a warm and friendly voice. Katie took all of Mrs. Bee's features in, her warm smile, her deep blue eyes, her fragile hands and finally nodded. "I'm Katie." She said, her voice still shaky.
"Right, Katie do you know what a stroke is?" Mrs. Bee asked. Katie nodded. "The blonde lady talks about it all the time." Katie said, her voice quiet, she hoped Mrs. Bee would get to the point sooner or later. "And I know I had one." Katie said. Her voice was more confident now."Well Katie. The blonde haired lady really is your mother. I know you don't understand this, but you'll get through this. It seems you have a little cousin named Kat who looks up to you, a kind grandma and a beautiful aunt." Mrs. Bee said warmly.
Katie began to cry. She wondered how she could've forgotten about all these important people. She knew her world was falling apart.
Mrs. Bee smiled at Katie. "Don't worry. I'm here to help you through this." She said.
