As Katie began to wake up, she felt numb. She tried to scream, but nothing happened. She had no way of communicating. With anybody. "Mom!" She tried to shout. But it just came as a thought.
"Are you trying to tell us something Katie?" Asked Mrs. Bee. Her hearing was starting to fade and all Katie could hear was the slight mumble from Mrs. Bee's voice. Katie stared blankly at Mrs. Bee, unaware of what was going on. She could barely remember why she was even in the hospital.
"..." Katie tried to speak but she could barely even remember how to talk. How to eat. Everything. Gone.
