Wasn't expecting that

Please help

Cara looks at Raf as he just rolls over after her plea for him to wake up... "Wake up you stupid bastard!" She says as she hits him hard in his man hood area as the tears stream down her face.

"Jesus Cara what the hell is wrong?" he asks as he bolts upright.

He holds himself as he looks at Cara "please help" she manages to get out.

"What the hell is wrong?" he says.

She looks over at Jack and cries "help him" she cries.

"What's wrong with him?" he says as he gets up out of bed and comes around to Cara side where Jack is.

Cara can't get her words out but Raf can just see a very blue tint to his lips. He tries not to panic her but gets down and takes a closer look at Jack to see he isn't breathing at all.

"Raf... Help him" Cara says.

"Alright Cara, try to calm down" he says.

Cara sits on the bed and watches Raf lift Jack out, "what are you doing!" Cara panics.

"Cara please, go and ring and ambulance" Raf says as he tries to keep the situation calm, Cara looks at him and just grabs her phone and walks out.

"Come on wee man" Raf says as he lies him down and puts two fingers in the middle of his chest and starts to do CPR.

"Not today little one you've got years left" Raf says as e stops and blows lightly Into his mouth.

He checks for a pulse but there's still nothing. Cara comes back in after calling for an ambulance and just standing completely stunned watching Raf.

Morven comes in to all the commotion, "what is going on you two?" she asks as she adjusts to the light.

Cara says nothing and cries, "He's not breathing" Raf says.

Morven goes over to Raf to see if she can help in anyway, She takes over CPR from Raf.

Cara watches Morven "Raf?" Cara mutters as she continues to cry.

"What?" he asks as he looks up at Cara.

"Don't give up" Cara cries.

"No we won't; how long untill an ambulance?" he asks.

Cara shrugs and watches Morven, "careful don't hurt him" Cara says.

Morven nods and gives Cara a slight smile even though both her and Raf no CPR isn't doing any good.

"Raf it's no good he's freezing, he's been gone for hours" Morven mutters to Raf.

Raf walks over to Jack and Morven and looks at him as he looks back up at Cara he sees she has fainted and is out cold; and finally the ambulance has arrived.

The two paramedics come in and Raf stands up from Cara's side, "it's my son... Well and my girlfriend now" Raf says.
"Cara's passed out and Jack has stopped breathing" Raf says.
"Cara's twenty six and Jack is two days old" Raf says in a bit of a rush as they see to Jack.

"Right well let's get them to the hospital" the paramedic says as he takes a look at Jack.

Cara starts to come round and suddenly realises what's happening. Raf goes over to her as she's in a stare, "let's get you to hospital" he says as she is crying.

She watches one of the paramedics check Jack and shake his head at the other paramedic. One of the paramedics goes over to Cara who is sitting up on the floor, "Right Cara, shall we get you to the hospital and check you over?" he asks.

Cara says nothing and just stares at Jack. "Jack!" Cara panics, "let me go with him!" She cries before collapsing into his arms again.

"Alright okay" Aaron says as Jeff the other paramedic goes to get a stretcher to put Cara on.

They take Cara to hospital where they check her over in the ED and realise she has a womb infection.

"I want Jack" she cries as she kicks up a fuss.

"Keep still please Cara" Raf says as another doctor checks her once more.

"What's wrong with me?" she cries as she looks at Raf worridly.

Cara looks at Raf as they inject something into her cannula and suddenly she feels very sleepy. "Raf" she whispers softly and Raf takes her hand before she drifts off to sleep.

Raf strokes her hand and smiles as he gets up and leaves them to operate on her. Just as Cara has gone to theatre a doctor comes to speak to Raf about Jack.

"Is he okay?" Raf asks anxiously.

"Why don't you come to take a seat for us?" the female doctor says.

Raf smiles nervously at the doctor "so?" Raf says.

"I'm afraid little Jack has passed away and there was nothing we could do for him when he got here" Gemma the doctor explains to Raf as easy as she can.

Raf just looks at her stunned and then gets up and walks out the room. "Erm Mr Di Lucca we can explain how?" Gemma says as she follows him.

"How then?" Raf says.

Gemma looks around as there's no one there she tells him, "Jack is known as a SIDS baby... nexplained death, usually during sleep, of a seemingly healthy baby less than a year old..." Gemma explains.

"Yes yes I know what it is!" Raf snaps.

"Alright, well we can tell your girlfriend if you like?" Gemma asks.

"I'll tell her myself" Raf says as he walks off and goes to his office.
