Wasn't expecting that

Sleep tight my boy

Around an hour later Cara begins to waken. "Hello you" Raf says as she looks at him.

Cara looks at him and just stares at him before trying to sit herself up a little. "Easy" he says as he helps her sit up.

Cara gives a slight nod as she holds Raf's hand as he helps her up. Cara sits up and looks around.

"What's up?" he asks as he strokes her hand as she has a firm grip of his hands.

"I want to see him" she says.

"Right okay, shall I get you a wheelchair or can you walk?" he asks.

"No I want to see him" Cara cries.

"Okay okay" he smiles as he gets up and goes to get a wheelchair for her.

Cara continues to cry and watches Raf walk over and get a wheelchair. "I know" he says as he helps her into the wheelchair.
"Easy does it" he says as she winces.

Raf places a blanket on her lap and smiles at her as he kisses her forehead. Cara looks up at him and takes his hand.

"It'll be okay" Raf smiles.

Raf takes her up to where Jack is which suddenly gets Cara worked up. "Stop, stop!" She panics.

"What's up?" he asks.

"I can't do it!" Cara panics.

"Yeah you can, we can get his blanket and teddy bear and things" he says.

Cara shakes her head as she's really anxious to go in. "I'm with you, promise it's okay" Raf says as he gives her hand a tight squeeze.

She nods and they go in and wait while one of the nurses for the mortuary get him out and into a room.

"How you feeling?" Raf asks while they sit and wait.

"Really sore" she mumbles as she rubs her stomach.

Raf takes her hand again and strokes it. "You'll be comfier when we get you home" he smiles.

Cara smiles a little bit her face soon drops when they sure allows them to go into a side room.

Raf wheels her over to the room in which Jack is in and helps her out of the wheelchair.

She looks at him and gasps "Raf!" She cries.

"I'm here babe" he sighs as he holds her close.

"He looks asleep" Cara says.

"I know" Raf sighs as he strokes Jack's hand.

Cara looks down at him and as the year stream down her face "I'm so sorry" she mutters.

"You have nothing to be sorry for Caz" he says.

She strokes Jack's hand and kisses his forehead lightly. "Mummy loved you very much" she whispers as the tears troop her.

"I'll always be here for you baby boy, I love you so much" Cara mutters through her tears.

Raf smiles and kisses her head; he then lifts Jacks blanket and teddy bear out of the side of the cot.

"No keep it in with him" Cara says.

"He doesn't need it babe" Raf says.

"Yes he does" Cara says as she takes it off him and places the teddy beside Jacks head and the blanket over his small body.
"Oh darling your freezing" Cara says as it still hasn't sunk in yet.

She stands up and looks at him, she carefully lifts him and sits back down with him lying in her arms.

"Great Granny will look after you all the time and mummy will be looking up at you always and we'll never ever forget about you" Cara says as her tears drip onto Jack's face.

She gently wipes them off his face and rocks him a little. Raf rubs her shoulder, "mummy's precious boy" she whispers as she cuddles his tiny body.
"No matter where you go Jack, remember I'll always be here... Now my angel... Rest easy" Cara cries with a smile.
Raf smiles as Cara looks up at him.
