Wasn't expecting that

Sleepy boy

A few hours later Lucy and Joan have gone home and Cara has just been given her discharge forms. "Good to go?" Raf asks.

"I guess so" she smiles as she gets Jack strapped into the car seat.

She places a blanket over Jacks legs and they head off. "How you feeling?" he asks as he strokes her hand as they walk to the lift.

"Nervous" Cara says.

Raf smiles, "you will be absolutely fine" he says as he kisses her cheek as they get into the lift to see Morven there.

"Oh my gosh isn't he the cutest" Morven coos.

"Meet Jack Martinez...born in a car, delievered by me" Raf laughs which makes Cara laugh.

"Oh he's so cute, I can't wait to have a little hold of him later" Morven smiles. "Do you want me to cook dinner or anything?" Morven offers.

"We're fine" Raf smiles.

"See you later" Morven smiles as she gives Cara a quick hug and gets our of the lift.

They head over to the car and Raf gets Jack into the car. "I'm going to try and sleep for a bit when we get home I'm exhausted" she says.

Raf nods and drives them home. Once home he gets Jacks carseat out of the car and Cara heads into her flat.

"Oh Morvens cleaned" Cara says as she walks into the flat.

"Eh no, that was me this morning and last night" he smiles. "I stopped here last night, sorry I forgot to ask" he says.

Cara smiles as she sits down on the sofa and Raf places Jack on the floor in his car seat. "It's okay" Cara smiles.

"Why don't you get some sleep and I can go get us both some dinner?" Raf suggests.

"Let me settle Jack first" Cara says as she lifts him out, Raf nods and smiles.

Cara places him in the Moses basket next to the sofa and sits and watches him. "Sleep" Raf laughs and Cara smiles a little. "What do you want for dinner?" he asks.

"I'm not hungry" Cara says as she watches Jack.

"Don't start this antics" Raf laughs.

Cara smiles at Jack and strokes his cheek. "Chips, Pizza, Chinese, Indian?" he suggests.

"Chips" Cara says not really paying attention.

Raf smiles, "I'll be back soon" he says.

Cara nods and lies down on the sofa. Around half an hour later Raf comes back to see Cara out for the count.

"Dinners her babe" he says in a soft tone.

Cara sits up slowly and looks around. "Where's Jack?" she asks.

"Morven has him, she's changing his nappy for you" he says as he hands her her chips and a glass of water.

"You won't be getting him back any time soon, she's been holding him for the past half hour" Raf smiles.

Cara smiles a little and eats her chips. "Nice to see you eating too" Raf smiles.

Cara smiles, "I'm actually really hungry" she says.

Raf smiles and takes a chip off her plate and smiles. "Hey" she says as she cuddles up to him.

"Are you staying the night?" she asks.

"Yes I am" Raf smiles.

"That's good" she smiles.

Cara smiles as Morven comes back in with Jack.

"That's good" she smiles.

"He's so gorgeous Cara" Morven coos.

"He is" Cara smile.

Raf looks at her and smiles as she can barely keep her eyes open "Tired Caz?" Morven smiles.

"Tired isn't even the word, I'm exhausted" she says.

Morven laughs and passes Jack back to Cara. She takes Jack off her and rocks him.

Cara looks at Raf and smiles, "not finishing then chips?" Morven asks.

"No thanks, do you want them?" she asks.

Morven nods and takes them off her. "Why don't you go to bed you two? Morven suggests as they seem tired.

"We're fine" Raf smiles.

"I'm not" Cara pipes up.

"I want cuddles with you" he says.

"We can do that in bed" Cara says.

Raf nods and smiles, "if you need any help tomorrow I'm off" Morven smiles as Cara gets up.

Cara smiles and Raf lifts Matthew in his Moses basket. Cara gets into bed and falls straight to sleep while Raf sorts out Jack.

Raf smiles at Jack and sits down on the bed and watches Jack for a bit.

A while later Raf drops off to sleep.

Cara wakes a few times in the night to feed Jack. She wakens Raf a few times to help her.

The following morning Cara sits up in bed as she can't sleep, she looks around the room and smiles as she can see Jack sleeping peacefully.

She rolls around in the bed a bit to try and get herself comfy but can't.

She watches the clock and knows  Jack will be waking for a feed soon. She sits waiting for Jack to waken.

She watches Jack for a while and decides to get out of bed.

She paces the bedroom waiting for him to waken any time now.

She waits a few more minutes and the strokes his cheek and tries to wake him, his cheek feels cold but she's unsure weather it's because the window has been open.

"Aw aren't you a sleepy boy" she coos.

Cara smiles and strokes his cheeks again and feels his hand.

"Oh you're freezing" she panics.

She placed the back of her hand near his nose and realises he isn't breathing, "Raf? Raf?!" Cara panics.
