Mia's POV

Slowly I rose to my feet pulling my pea coat closer to me to fight against the painfully icy air around me, I fell against the warm pillar behind me as he wraps his arms around me. "You ready Mia," Marc's warm voice already embracing me in this frost like weather. I wiped a silent tear as I nodded turning towards him.

As I took his hand I glanced back at her grave. We walked in the cold fall air before we embarked on the long walk back to Marc's BMW. As Marc started the car I settled in getting warm and wiped away a few stray tears. I removed my hat and scarf.

Everyone had left, it was just just us left in the wake of her grave. I wished for so much for her, and it shouldn't have ended like this for her. "She will be missed." Marc whispers driving out of the cemetery. "You okay Mom?" Turning around to face my scared kids despite how broken and raw I feel for losing such an important person in my life.... I smile,

"Just seeing an old friend for the last time my love, I'm alright." I assured them both before turning ahead seeing Marc's warming smile. He held my hand to his lips and kissed them gently, healing the forming bruises from when I smashed them against a wall in the church where I gave a speech on her behalf.

Camille and Sebastian were sad but for different reasons, they were concerned for me. But the worst part was over, from now all I can do is heal. And that's what she would want me to do. Heal myself,

Arriving back at the house Marc and I both helped the kids out of the back seat and into the house where we're greeted by an empty house. I go straight for the wine bottle, watching Marc escort the kids upstairs. "It's a little early for day drinking, don't you think?"

"It's a little early for me to see Lydia's name on a grave stone but I did. So I'll drink, you wanna help me or not?" I said bitterly thinking about her smile behind all the sadness the last-the very last time I saw her. Of course, that's how she leaves my life by saving me first.

I in-take so much wine in one gulp Marc pulls the bottle away from me slowly, and I'm twitching with memories of Lydia's golden hair, brilliant smile, and then her blue bloated dead body that was found in the bottom of the ocean.

It had only been a 8 years since she left for whatever she wanted, as Wade put it the sea. Young Adrian turned 8 years old recently, and as Lydia wishes Marc gave Adrian her gift. For the rest of the day we didn't do much, but watch Adrian read the envelope of pages Lydia left him.

Wade looked concerned but I assumed that it was something between a mother and her son, things Lydia wanted to explain to her son, and that it should be left alone. Wade didn't seem to like it one bit, ever since Lydia left he's been... different.

I thought he would've been happy to raise Adrian with us, but he struggled with holding down a job, alcohol, and for a while went back into the assassin field to make money. And one night he admitted to me that he misses Lydia, and hates that he's turning into her. Whatever that meant,

So after Adrian birthday party everything seemed to be okay until Wade called late in the night telling us that Adrian was gone. His clothes, books, and Lydia's pages were all gone. Of course we were all panicked for Adrian's safety.

2 days later...

I'm heartbroken to have heard someone had found Lydia's cold body on a table at the morgue. Wade thought that's where Adrian would go, he was there, holding her hand, whispering something in her ear.

Everything after that moment happened so fast, Adrian locked us out of the room, then Adrian disappeared in a cloud of smoke. We haven't seen him since,
