Mia's POV

"So is this where you go bat shit crazy and kill everyone? How do you still have a licence to save people's lives? And what about your hospital? Oh and about you going to jail." I went on but Lydia's hands covered my mouth. "Because I have very powerful connections, one of those names are the League. Very influential people who make my appearance more than perfect, and alerted me when Emily passed."

"Wow," She winks at me,

"Wow," She winks at me,

Taking out her phone her fingers are like lightening, and Marc seems to be concentrating on something else. "Lydia please tell me you brought some of your friends?" She gives a small head shake up and down before going side to side. "What type of friends are we talking about? You mean humans, vampires, angels, people who do unspeakable things. I shoot pool with those people, they my fam." She smiles at her phone.

"People who can protect us and-wait you have friends who aren't human?" I asked her interested, she shook her head and removed her purse to reveal a gun. "I have these friends too," She whispered back. "Mia I want to introduce you to Lola, my gun. Say hi, don't be afraid to touch it." She says encouragingly. I wave at her gun, "Hi Lola." Lydia beams,

Sighing in relief, "I thought you two wouldn't hit it off, she's been dying to meet you for years."

"I can't get in contact with Melissa or Austin, I'm off the grid here." Oh damn something was about to go down I just knew it. I saw heavy body guards at all the entrances, windows, and bar. There we were sitting at a small round table watching him take center stage in front of other people who didn't know what we just found out. "Okay don't worry I will get us out of here..." Lydia starts to say when Roman's booming voice towered over hers.

"Welcome to my party, my home welcomes you." He said in a strong accent. I didn't dare make eye contact with him. With him he had his wife and I was assuming grown children, just two sons who were looking over in our direction. Well I thought until I glanced at a cowering Lydia, she was just sipping on whatever glass-hey that's my glass of soda!

She had her hand up over her face and was looking at a-wall. Like obviously looking at a wall. "Lydia those boys are looking at you."l say

"I know, shit why does my beef have to be with Russians. It was a mistake coming here." She whispered back, "Why are they looking at you? And what's wrong with Russia, you got beef with Russians or Russia as a country?" I questioned she removed her hand but kept her head low before answering. "Russia as a country, I'm a wanted criminal-cult leader-god-whatever. There's this super cool legend that I totally keep up with-never mind. A few years ago after finding out that your husband over there leaked my agency information to Kazmir I killed him, I knew that killing Kazmir would spill even more blood. But I never imagined I'd be in the same room as his brother."

"Wait Kazmir and Roman are brothers?" Marc interjected leaning across the table to join in the whispering debate. Lydia nods, "Yup different Mom's...or Dad's hell I can barely keep up with my own punk ass Daddy. Anyway, yea they're related. Hopefully he won't-hell I'm Lydia Brooks of course he's gonna know I'm here. I mean look at me,"
