** Recap: Lydia was dancing like it was nobody's business. And after taking one too many shots she thinks she sees Lucy...A couple passes and like a ghost Lucy is gone. Did Lydia actually see Lucy? **

  Lydia's POV

I need to sober up quickly if I even for a second believe Lucy is here, especially when I gave that whole speech to Mia about being safe when I'm around. Damn, swallowing down 3 more shots I disappear from the crowd.

Entering the restroom I go into a stall, where I take out a syringe in my clutch. Removing the cap with my teeth, I tie my arm up, before I sink the needle within a vein. I put down so much toilet paper on the toilet that I go through all rolls in all the stalls. And finally sit down...

Closing my eyes I breathe evenly as the sobering agent helps get me sober within minutes. It leave me nausea and headaches but that's manageable. After 3 minutes have passed I very slowly rise to my feet. Since I used so much tissues I was forced to use my foot to open the door.

I move to the mirror and wink at myself before I leave to find Lucy...No-I need to make sure Mia is safe...

Calling my Dad, "Did you know Lucy was here at this party?"

"Never mind Lucy. I already did what you couldn't do, you're welcome."

I was confused, "What are you talking about? Where's Mia? The plan was to put her in controlled danger, not knowing where she is doesn't help me control the situation." I bark at him and venom is seeping from my skin as he speaks. "I know, if you want a partner you'll have to work for it. The beauty of showing off your skills. If you still have them." Oh I know this dickhead didn't just give me the "Crafting your skill" punch line!

"Listen here you sorry excuse for a father, you will tell me exactly where Mia is or so help me I will start a plague and it will begin with you." I threaten into the phone before crushing it in my hand, anger wasn't a good enough word. The beast I managed to keep inside was out, and she was hungry.

Rushing down the hall I take my chances and open the first door I see, and there she is...sleeping. Never had I calmed down so fast in my life, I nearly felt like crying right now. Holding my chest so tight I nearly ripped out my heart.  "Oh thank god, I'd thought I'd need my nuclear bombs in the basement."

I get to work on counting her ribs, making sure her tracker was still in place. I'd hate to cut it out and put it back in correctly. I did that a few month ago, and Mia is still wondering what the hell happened.

"If I may ask, what are you doing?" Marc Water's voice was sweet when I turn around to face him. Oh he was adorable, perfect for my Mia. Reserved, strong, a gentleman despite his playboy public status. I know he was grieving the loss of that crazy-wife his wife. "Counting her ribs, and tracker. It's between her ribs. Thanks for taking care of Mia for me, did she manage to hurt herself?" He nods,

"Classic Mia," I mutter brushing her hair back before kissing her forehead. "How did you become friends with Mia?"

"She beat up a kid that was picking on me, she was winning at first until I joined and whooped ole girl's ass." She smiled caressing Mia's face tenderly,

We talked for a while, I couldn't help but find the way Marc was watching me around Mia screamed he didn't trust me. He must think I'm the danger when I'm her savior, protector, everything he can't be because the role has already been filled.

And to prove it, I just laid down the law because I'm a boss ass bitch!

I circle him, "Marc let's stop playing games, I mean I know you're an angel. An Arch Angel, a strong elite warrior angel who married a suicidal fallen angel. I mean if that wasn't setting off alarms I don't know what will. And judging by how your eyes are glowing, your itching to blind me by the beauty of your wings, and rip my heart out with your ax but you won't. You can't. You know I'm an assassin, I eat you for breakfast..." I say,
