Mia's POV

Lydia opens her mouth but quickly shuts down and looks at the floor. Marc wouldn't even look at me and I noticed his fists were balled up. "Where's the body?" Lydia finally asks me something and I told her that he was under the floor boards in the laundry room. She looked shocked, and when walking past me almost high-fived me before walking off.

I was left with Marc, "Why go this far Mia? Why kill a man? You were suppose to be friends with Lydia, but you turn into her killing a man. You can never come back from this Mia. In fact, if I'm being honest you blinding Nolan was a concern but... we will never ever see him again." Marc spills out in the air like word vomit.

He was right, what I did was wrong. Murder was- is wrong and will only haunt me. "But I didn't intend on killing him. What I did wasn't murder it was fucking self-defense. It's like you forgot that I was alone, with a man who only wanted to see me pain. I took matters in my own hands because you weren't there to quote on quote 'Save me' and be the hero. I snapped! Am I sorry for killing Nolan? Yes, and I believe I will have trauma from this but you know what it felt good to know that this man right here... will never hurt me again. The man that cheated on me with my own sister, almost married her, bullied me, assaulted me, held me hostage Marc! I mean what do you want from me?!" I screamed the last part at him.

"Do I need to be put down for defending myself? Do I need to be in a mental hospital for killing someone like my ex-husband?!"

Marc doesn't say anything when Lydia comes back into the room dragging Nolan into the kitchen before returning in the living room. "Lydia what do you think?" I ask and that's when she starts to back up, shaking her head. "Oh no I'm not getting in this hot water. I'm here as clean-up. Make it seem that he overdosed, I'm making calls with Erica and Smith to help out, like I'm not in this one." She quickly leaves the room to hide in the kitchen.

"Why ask for her opinion you know that she'll take your side, she's an assassin Mia. All she knows is killing without thinking."

"Excuse me! But going up that ramp and leaping off that bike took a lot of brain cells Marc! Going after Lucy, Demetrius, and getting your kid didn't go without thinking! Sure most of my actions are fueled my anger but a calculated anger!" Lydia defends screaming from the kitchen. Marc is silent again.

"And another thing..." Lydia says coming into the living room to glare at Marc before looking at me. "I'm worried about you Mia. I mean Marc is right you did just kill a man, Nolan for that matter with your hands. I believe you're still high off adrenaline to process what has happened. I don't believe you need to be put down like some animal. People make mistakes, and you're right- this isn't murder but umm hon you did kill someone. But I'm just happy you tagged a bitch in this time."

Marc huffs ready to speak again when he just leaves, "He's worried that I'm turning into you. An assassin in the making." I tell Lydia and she just sighs heavily. "I'm worried for you too Mia. But in the sense of becoming assassin I'd stop that myself. You aren't becoming an assassin, you aren't a killer-well you are." She stops to come closer to me and push my hair behind my ear. "You just need to get out of these clothes, sleep, and prepare for punishment."

I step back, "What?"

"Get ready for restless nights and seeing a lot more of Nolan. This won't go away and you'll just have to deal with it. Hopefully Marc won't be such an asshole when he comes back-if he comes back." Lydia says before leading me upstairs to take a shower before we realized the water doesn't work.

"Outside there's an outside shower, we'll make it happen." At first I was confused since there's no water but Lydia's actions quickly explained when I saw for her un-lock the gate of the neighbor's fence, grab their hose, and connected it to a hose for the shower. "Alright we got water."
