Lydia's POV

My eyes shift to Mia and Marc, they got the hint to leave immediately...

"I've been thinking about this for a long time, I really think this will work for all of us. We get married, and we just go about our normal lives and co-parent Junior."

My response, "Our kid is gonna be called by so many names, I mean Adrian Gabriel Leonardo Wade Brooks Wilson. You do realize why I did that right?" Wade shakes his head, "Where are you going with this Lydia-"

"Because the longer the name the more bad ass you become- well I'm the except because hello I'm Lydia Brooks. But if the time ever comes for our son to learn the ways of pride and joy- I mean guns and murder he's already set with a strong name to live up to. It's also protection, no one would mess with a kid like Adrian. It's to keep our-okay my legacy within our kid."

He nods, "My only request is that you get out of the game."

My face twists into something that's just fowl and unpleasant to the eyes. It almost made Adrian cry it was so ugly. "You've been out of the game for all your pregnancy." He counter attacks and I wanted to laugh but that would be mean. I gotta be nice, "Because I can't fit this big sexy ass in a tank. So my answer is no."

"So while you'll be traveling the world saving lives and on missions who do you expect to raise Adrian because I'm not getting a nanny."

I waited a few seconds to see if the light bull went off in his head but it never did. "Okay I'll have to spell it out for you. Why can't you do it? Be a domestic Dad. Have all the fun at raising Adrian."

He thinks it over for a long time looking around the room, going into a trance. "So you're not leaving the game?"

Looking down at Adrian I second guessed myself, my pride was all over the decision to stay in the game. How am I to stay relevant if I leave? How can I still strike fear in the hearts of my followers when I'm not around? Those stories aren't made up a bitch had to work for them! "Okay,"

"Okay you're out of the game?" He repeated with a high voice that shocked me, "Don't look so excited about it Wade. I'm doing it for the kid." I snap at him hating the taste of my word. Ugh, well I guess this is what Motherhood is...

Wade smiled, but I glared at him. "Now I want something?"

"What? Name anything you want."

"We keep my house as my own guest house for myself. Second, we buy a house close to Mia and Marc. And Third, we tell each other if this isn't working and try something else." Again Wade goes quiet before he nods smiling again. "Okay so how fast do you want this wedding?"

I smirk, "I got Natalie on speed dial. All I need is 6 months."

My eyes rest on Adrian's feature like his brown eyes, brown skin, oh he was beautiful and all mine. Something to claim mine that wasn't sex was nice-no it was amazing to know this little thing inside of me was mine. Well ours,

Mia and Marc entered in the place, "Is it safe to enter?" Mia asked and I laughed waving them to come on in. "Yea we're good." I say glancing at Wade.

"Oh look at my nephew," Mia squealed rushing over to my side to see him sleeping peacefully in my arms. "He's quiet just like Sebastian. What's his name?"

"Adrian Gabriel Leonardo Wade Brooks Wilson." Mia didn't even looked shocked because she knows my full name. It's just not Lydia Persia Brooks...

"Like mother like son," She murmurs earning laughter from everyone in the room. I look around the room to see Mia and Marc in each other's arms and Wade looking so proud. I know it's weird to think about all these wedding things, this co-parent idea, but...I don't love Wade. Not when I dream about Jake still. And with the stories Wade told me, he can't get Anita out of his head.
