Mia's POV

Driving to Dad's house I see Wade's car in the driveway, I try calling Lydia again but she doesn't answer. Damn, whatever Dad had to say was big because Wade met us outside. He looked so...

"Wade are you...ill? My God you look awful." I say with a hand on my chest as I reach out to hold his shoulder, he moves away from me. "Is Lydia coming?" I shake my head sad that she couldn't make it. He nods, "Damn...well come inside. Let's see what Dad has to say to us."

I walked into the living room to see my dad sitting in ma's chair and I sat down on the couch next to Anita who was looking as sad as Wade. What was happening?! Wade sat in the other chair.

"Okay so I brought you guys all here because I got a call from the hospital that Nolan is blind. Kendra is missing, and Nolan has apparently called off the wedding."

I stand up with watery eyes, "Mia what's wrong?" Everyone asks,

"I need Lydia..."

2 weeks later...

~ Recap: Lydia is saved by Jake a angel who is transforming into a demon. Also, it's revealed that Wade is the mysterious partner from the beginning of the story. So when Marc thinks Mia is in trouble with death threats from Kendra he calls Lydia who isn't just fighting Lucy but trying to save Jake's life. In the midst of that, Wade appears ready to give up everything to be with Lydia. Only Lydia realizes she can do better, and Jake is better. (Talk about character development) anyway, Lydia and Wade (break up)... Marc sees her with a young guy, and she looks so extremely happy... moral of the story don't crash Lydia's happiness. ~

Lydia's POV

The blazer I was wearing started to feel itchy, I can't believe I was in front of Jake's door. His little rundown apartment made me want to bathe in bleach. I knock again, "I'm coming hold on!" He shouts and I hear shuffling,

He opens the door with a shocked look, "Lydia? What are you doing here?" Pushing past him I put my clutch in my arm pit, "I'm here because for the last 2 weeks it may seem I've fallen off the face of the Earth. And I did, fall I mean. But I'm good now."

I continue...

"I know I missed so much with Mia, her family, the whereabouts with Lucy and Demetrius. I haven't been the best anything in a while and I'm here to make it up...starting with you. We need to talk, I need to talk. Everyone is wanting answers, and I feel more comfortable giving them to you." Jake was busy closing the door and then looking around for a shirt. Rolling my eyes I was growing more irritated, "Ugh Jake don't bother looking for a shirt, will you just sit here with me?" I ask sitting down on his small sofa, and he slowly sits down next to me.

I was staring down at my manicured nails, "I like you...a lot. And that freaks me out, it does because everything I've ever loved died."

"Mia hasn't," His smile is what kept me going these last few weeks, and that's all I had to pull me from my dark places. "Jake...before I left for those two weeks, when we kissed I didn't mean to tell you I love you. I was just...so emotional after we...ugh I can't even speak." I said hanging my head in painful humiliation. This is so terrible,

Jake's hand appears over mine as he holds them, I stiffen only to relax shortly afterwards. "You don't have to be sorry Lydia-"

"I was sleeping with a married man, the love of my life is a married man. Ya know the reason why I never told him my true feelings when he was dating Anita? Because of Mia, I've always been protecting Mia. She didn't like the idea of Wade with Anita, and I assumed that she wouldn't like any woman with Wade."
