Marc's POV

"Okay that's the last of it," I say to Austin as he gets back into the driver seat, and I settled back next to Mia. I was more than pleased when she decided to use my shoulder as a pillow as she snuggled closer to me. Against my wishes I knew the best thing to do was to get her in bed and rest. She's had a hell of a night, and all I wish is to ease her pain.

Looking at Mia made me think of the time I wasted loving Lucy who was a fallen angel when I'm an arch angel destined to order other angels to protect humans of demons, ghosts, etc. When I'm not ordering angels, or fighting off demons, I'm running a multi-billion dollar company...okay Lisa is. It's her baby,

But I want to learn everything there is to know about Mia, my Mia.

When the car made a sharp turn Mia is forced to be closer to me and I gladly allowed it. She mumbled something, her breath hot on my cold skin. Knowing I was losing the battle of being a gentleman I went to open a window, but froze in cold blood when her small petite finger tips spread along my stomach as if her fingers were desperate to feel everything they could before they slipped around my waist, digging into my side.

Nope, no amount of wind, breathing techniques, or thinking of really old women going to stop the wave of lust that hit me. Just breathe Marc, she suffers from a concussion taking advantage of her is wrong on so many levels. Especially when she's slipping in and out of consciousness. So WRONG!

The little voice in my head was all too eager to tell me how warm her body was, how her breath radiated heat throughout my entire form. I'm an angel, I am a moral high ground. Okay my low point was sleeping with a bunch of women-that wasn't my best moment but....right now I should think of something else...crap what is there to think about.

Growing impatient I look at my watch and notice an hour or so went by and I glance down at Mia. "Are you still awake?" Using my right arm, the free arm I go around Mia's body. My hand goes to the back of her neck to cradle it so I get a better look at her. My thumb goes to brush a side of her cheek, so close to her luscious lips. "Lydia?" She whispers, and I took that as a sign as she's still awake...thinking of Lydia.
