Chapter 16 – Hannah’s POV (continued from Chapter 15)
I was fidgeting in my seat waiting for this car ride to be over. How long does it take to get there?! I mean they didn’t even have to do all this for me. Where are we going anyways?!
“How long is it going to take?” I whined. If you haven’t noticed already, I’m a very impatient person. I can’t wait for anything.
“We’re almost there cupcake” Noah responded. I frowned; cupcake?
“Where did cupcake come from?” I raised an eyebrow.
“You’re obsessed with cupcakes therefore you are a cupcake” He grinned whilst I rolled my eyes. Pfft I’m not obsessed with cupcakes. Okay maybe I am. Hey don’t judge me. There’s nothing wrong with cupcakes!
“Awww you’re such a cute little cupcake” Nate teased, I scowled at him.
“Shut up loser” Great comeback I know.
“That the best you can do? Cupcake suits you though”
I was about to respond when Noah interrupted instead “She’s my cupcake, get your own nickname!” I laughed at his childishness.
“No I’m calling her a cupcake too!”
“No you’re not, she’s MY cupcake” He emphasized on the ‘my’
“Shut up”
“WILL YOU BOTH SHUT UP?!” Cassie yelled over us, the car went deadly silent. She smirked.
“Good, I think Hannah’s had enough of you guys arguing, I know I have” she mumbled. I laughed silently.
“You two act like a gay couple” I sniggered. They both glared at me, well Noah tried but he couldn’t take his eyes off the road because he was driving. I put my hands up in an ‘I surrender’ fashion. I heard Cassie laughing.
Noah turned up the radio whilst I was biting my nails in anticipation, not the best move I know. I need to know where we’re going! I calmed down slightly when I heard the song ‘Weightless’ by All Time Low playing. My friends started laughing when it played as if they knew something I didn’t.
“That has amazing timing” Nate muttered but I don’t think he meant for me to hear it. Why did the song have amazing timing?
“Noah how much longer?” I whined again.
“Jesus cupcake, calm down, we’ll be there in about 5 minutes”
“5 minutes is so far away!”
Cassie sent me a ‘you’re-kidding-right’ look. I smiled sheepishly. Not my fault I want to know the second part to my 18th birthday.
Nate motioned me to come closer to him; I had a confused expression on my face but complied. Before I knew it, he tied a blindfold around my eyes. I frowned.
“WHY?!” I moaned. Seriously? Didn’t they know this is annoying me? I guess they did know because seconds later they started laughing.
“Ha ha keep laughing at my misery” I replied sarcastically.
“Sorry hun but we had to do that, it’ll ruin the surprise if we don’t” Cassie spoke up. I folded my arms across my chest. Soon after Noah pulled up somewhere and we all got out of the car. I stumbled but someone caught me by my waist.
“Watch where you’re going” Nate said.
“I would if I wasn’t blindfolded!” I sighed.
“Come on, just hold on to my hand and I’ll take you there” He intertwined our fingers together and I felt warm under his touch. What the hell? We started walking and soon I heard loud cheers and screaming. Where on earth are we?
