Chapter 12 – Hannah’s POV
‘I’m friends with the monster under my bed, get along with the voices inside of my head, you’re trying to save me, stop holding your breath and you think I’m crazy, well that’s not fair’ I opened one eye and squinted. Woah it’s too bright. I closed them and re-opened them and could see much more clearly. Much better. I yawned and got out of bed when I want do to nothing more than drop back down and sleep. I headed for a shower and followed my daily routine. Now I was stuck. What was I supposed to wear? Why do girls have to make so much effort to look good and boys don’t? That’s so unfair. I decided to go for a smart yet casual look with a pink blazer, white top, blue jeans and pink heels. I also wore a pretty charm bracelet and some bow earrings. I straightened my hair, put a bit of make up on and voila. I’m ready! I took some snaps of myself doing the most idiotic poses ever and sent them to Kyle. He probably wants some new pictures; I haven’t seen him for a long time.
‘You like? Xox – Hannah’
‘Like? More like LOVE! Ooh you a sexy mama! Xox – Kyle’
‘Thank you babes, I’ve got a lecture! Bye love you xoxoxo – Hannah’
‘Byeee! xox – Kyle’
I grabbed my bag and headed out, I had Art and Design Technology today meaning I’d have to face Nate again. I internally sighed. At least he won’t be there for both of the lectures. I stepped into my classroom and took my normal seat. A few minutes later Nate entered and I would be lying if he said he didn’t look sexy. Hubba hubba. He was wearing dark jeans and a white button up shirt, also attempting the ‘smart yet casual look’ too. Funny how we match. His abs were clearly visible and I saw quite a few girls swooning. Seriously? He does not need anything else to make his ego even bigger. I rolled my eyes whilst he smirked and sat down next to me.
“See, our outfits show us we’re meant to be, now be a babe and forgive me please” He pouted. I rolled my eyes and ignored him.
“Please Hannah! Pretty please with a cherry on top” He gave me a puppy dog look that I almost fell for but quickly composed myself. He wasn’t getting off the hook that easy. I raised an eyebrow and ignored him again, he was about to speak when the teacher walked in. Thank you Miss D’Souza I thought.
“Class, I want you to continue working on your Art project with your partners and please keep the noise down, my head is killing me” She rubbed her temples.
I groaned out loud, I totally forgot about the project! I faced Nate and he was smirking.
“Now you can’t ignore me” He winked.
“So what do you want to do for the project?” I asked him in a bored tone. I didn’t want to speak to him but technically I have to if I want a good grade.
“Love is friendship” He genuinely smiled, probably thinking about his girlfriend. I don’t know why that thought made me feel uneasy.
“Love is friendship, I like that idea” and I really did. I think it was a great idea and it was smart but I wasn’t going to tell him that. He’s still way too arrogant.
“Of course you do” And that just proves my point.
“I think we should start with that then, maybe paint it in curly cursive writing as a title” I wondered. He agreed and we set to work.
It was nearing the end of the lesson and I received a text from Kyle which instantly put a smile on my face.
‘Hey girl, I’m bored so I decided to text you, how’s the lecture with hottie Nate? Xox – Kyle’
