Chapter 20 – Hannah’s POV
‘Only need the light when it’s burning low, only need the sun when it starts to snow, only know you love her when you let her go’ I snuggled into my bed deeper as my alarm played Passenger’s ‘Let Her Go’. I love the song but right now I want to sleep but it seemed like the alarm got louder and louder. Damn. I got up and turned the alarm off. I just want to sleep because I’d been up all night talking to Kyle; I know that guy will never let me sleep. Idiot. I groaned and dropped back onto my bed; I have no energy in me whatsoever.
“Morning sleeping beauty” Noah yelled. I jolted up out of bed and saw Noah grinning at me like a Cheshire cat.
“What the hell are you doing in my room?” I yelled back.
“I let him in. You need to get up, you dropped back on your bed and fell asleep for another 20 minutes” Cassie replied walking in from the bathroom.
“Oh Jesus fine, I’ll go get ready” I responded.
I got my lazy ass out of bed and heard Noah chuckling. I looked at him curiously and he gestured up and down my body. What? I looked down and saw I was wearing superman shorts and a batman top. Well I was mismatched last night. I mentally slapped myself and flipped off Noah.
“Don’t be a hater! I just couldn’t decide between them” I yelled, grabbing my stuff and walking into the bathroom for a shower. After the shower started scalding my skin, I peeked out for Noah, once I saw he wasn’t there, I went out, grabbed my clothes and walked back into the bathroom.
I picked out a pair of cute pale pink skinny jeans and a white flowy top that showed a bit of stomach. Oh well I don’t really care. I stepped outside and did my makeup which was a natural look (as always). I put on some pink rose studs and the friendship bracelet Kyle gave me. I twisted my hair into a messy bun at the top of my head because I was too lazy to do anything else. I put on some white flats and I was done. I have a weird dressing sense. Some days I dress all girly and others I dress like a tomboy or as if I’m not bothered. Haha.
“Wait why did I even get ready?” I asked aloud. I don’t have a lecture today! Damn it.
I stomped to Noah’s dorm and swung the door open. I gave Cassie a death glare.
“Why the hell did you make me get ready? I don’t have a lecture!” I shouted at her, playfully obviously, actually no, I was quite annoyed.
“No, I just woke you up, I didn’t make you get ready” She corrected me.
“That’s true” Noah added.
“You shut up” I snapped. My phone buzzed, I pulled it out and saw a text from Cassie.
‘Calm down, you on your period again? - Cassie’ I glared at her. She smiled and texted me again.
‘I’m guessing that’s a yes then – Cassie’
“What am I supposed to do now? I got ready for nothing” I frowned, I wasn’t about to change again because it takes too much effort.
“I can take you to lunch and we can then work on the art project if you want?” Nate stepped out the bathroom.
“I don’t really mind, I’m hungry anyways” My stomach growled at that point, proving my point. I used my arms to hide my stomach which was a force of habit really.
“Come on then, let’s fill up that beast” He grabbed my wrist and we left, not without yelling ‘bye’ to Cassie and Noah.
Nate let go of my arm and I felt cold without his touch which made no sense, but then he quickly intertwined our fingers. His big fingers fit mine perfectly, like a jigsaw. WOAH HANNAH. Where did that come from? He’s a flirt remember? He probably does this to every girl. I rolled my eyes, that’s true; I don’t need to get so worked up over this.
