Epilogue (Hannah’s POV)

 6 years later

I moved my hand across the bed looking for a familiar body. When I felt nothing I fluttered my eyes open and sat up. I looked around and the room was completely empty.  I looked in the bathroom but found it completely empty. Huh, that’s strange. Why isn’t Nate here? I frowned; he does remember it’s our anniversary right? We started dating 6 years ago, how could he forget? He can’t forget.

Every year on our anniversary I’ve woken up next to Nate and we do something special. Last year he took me on a vacation to Miami. It was perfect. We went to the beaches and we also went sky diving. I’ve always wanted to do that. He also took me jet skiing. It was bloody awesome.

I walked back into my room and a white piece of paper with a pink cupcake and a small teddy bear then caught my eye. I walked over to it and saw Nate’s scruffy handwriting.

‘Hey love, I’m sorry I’m not with you now but I have a valid explanation which I will tell you once I see you.

Okay, so let’s play a game, well you’ll be playing the game. You need to find me. You’ll have clues and hints and the prize is none other than me ;)

You have no choice, you have to play along.

Okay so the first question is: Where did we first meet? By first I mean when we were little kids. When you know the answer go to that place and someone will be holding an envelope with the next clue.

P.S. Wear the dress that is under our bed.

P.S.S. Happy 6th anniversary! Don’t worry I didn’t forget <3

I love you xx’

I knew he couldn’t forget. I giggled at his childish behaviour and started eating my pink cupcake.

I know no matter what I do he’ll end making me play so I might as well not go against it. I thought about the first time we met. I know we met in University but that wasn’t the first time. The first time we met was in the park. The park that is 10 minutes away from where me and Nate live. We got this apartment once we both got a decent job and had enough money to buy an apartment. This one was a decent price and looked pretty good so we bought it instantly without second thoughts.

I then peeked under the bed to find a blue bag. I pulled it out and found a gorgeous purple/blue one shouldered dress with a brown belt.

I skipped to the shower with a massive grin on my face. I had a warm shower and then wore my undergarment before I put my dress on. It looked fabulous; wow Nate has an amazing fashion sense. It came a few inches above my knee. I wore my black heels to match with it. I wore my vintage owl necklace that came to the middle of my breast. I put on my blue and silver earrings along with my silver bracelet.

I then put on some blue eye shadow with purple eyeliner and clear pink lip gloss. I then put my hair into a half up half down hairstyle. Once I was done I grabbed my bag and went to the car. I drove to the park not really knowing what to expect.

Once I was there, I got out of the car and jogged up to the entrance.

Upon the entrance I noticed my best friend Cassie with brown hair standing there holding another teddy bear, a cupcake and what seems to be an envelope. She dyed her hair brown a few years ago saying that her red hair was too vibrant. You see, after University, our group never got separated, yes we all had different jobs and lived in different areas, but we all met up at least once a week and stayed in contact with each other.
