Chapter 22 – Hannah’s POV
The rest of the week went by quite quickly and before I knew it, the dreaded Saturday had arrived. Why is it dreaded do you ask? Because it’s Ben’s party tonight. Don’t get me wrong, I love going to parties, I used to go to them all the time in the US. The crisis I’m having is I don’t know which dress to wear, what hairstyle to do and what matching accessories to wear. Yeah, go ahead, laugh it off but I’m a girl and I want to look stunning for tonight. This is why I called my two best girl friends over so we can go to the spa. They agreed instantly.
“Hey girlie” Cassie and Jasmine chirped once they spotted me outside the University. I was on a field that was about 10 minutes away, watching boys play soccer, or as they call it in the UK, football. I was quite bored.
“Hey guys, ready to go?” I asked. They nodded. I walked step in step with them to my car, talking about how hot the boys looked (seriously, they did). I jumped into my car, Cassie taking the front seat and Jasmine relaxing herself in the back. I drove quite fast to the spa because we were running late, our appointments were in about 10 minutes.
“But being here without you, is like I’m waking up to” I began without the music. My stereo had broken down somehow.
“Only half a blue sky, kinda there but not quite” Cassie continued.
“I’m walking with around with just one shoe” Jasmine sang along.
“I’m half a heart without you”
“I’m half a man at best”
“With half and arrow in my chest”
“I miss everything we do, I’m half a heart without you” I ended the chorus. We continued singing new songs from One Directions’ new album until we had arrived. Cassie added some of her freaky dance moves, shaking her head side to side. I really hope she doesn’t dance like that tonight.
“You have arrived at your destination” Jasmine spoke in one of those monotone voices. Have I mentioned how much I hate them? Jasmine rolled her eyes in response. We linked arms and skipped into the spa. We all felt quite bubbly today. We walked into the spa and the scent of Chamomile hit us first. The interior was a chocolate brown with baby pink walls, I personally found the combination cute.
“May I help you?” A stuffy woman asked me in a monotone voice. Again with the voices.
“Yes, I have reservations under Clarke, Smith and Rodriguez” I responded back to her happily, just to see her riled up. It worked because she gave me a slight glare, I bit back a smile.
“Right this way”
She led us into a room I had booked for all three of us. We were going to get ourselves fully waxed, manicures, pedicures and massages. We could get it done in any order but we all decided on the phone that we would first get mani/pedis, then waxing and then massaging.
We sat down in the leather seats and Lisa, Maria and Roxy began on shaping our nails, I didn’t want fake nails because they ruin your nails, so I just grew mine and shaped them.
“What colour would you like?” Maria smiled at me. She had plum coloured hair which suited her complexion. I bit my lip and looked at all the colours available, there were so many, white, black, red, sea green, you name it and it was there. I looked over to see Jasmine get her nails painted red and Cassie was getting a french manicure done.
“Um guys, what colour do I pick?” I asked.
“I think because your hair is lilac, you should do lilac, it will suit you well and your hair won’t look like you dyed it randomly” Cassie commented then whispered “even if you did dye it randomly” I chuckled.
