You're not the girl I met at school!

We have been driving for 10 minutes now. I sat at the front with my mum, as Josh sat at the backseat behind me. We have had music very loud while him and my mum would sing their hearts off. Earlier today as we were getting ready to get in the car the skies trickled with rain. Drops would drop against the glass dripping down. I held my stomach still wondering if I can go through having a child; or putting it up for adoption. I placed my forehead against the window glaring at the sky. I watched as the grey clouds would drift over covering the sky in all it's gloom. As I rest, with my thoughts to myself a tear slid down my cheek.

"You okay?"

I quickly pulled my sleeve down. I sat up, cleared my throat then turned to my mum. Who had placed her hand softly onto my leg. I smiled and said,

"Yeah. Just... Just feeling a bit ill. But i'll be alright."

We both smiled as she continued driving home. Removing her hand to place it back onto the wheel. Again I rested my head; pressing my skin against the glass allowing my eyes to drop slowly shut. I allowed air to fill my lungs before exhaling out slowly spiralling into a sleep.

I next awoke to the sound of the car breaks, as my head dropped forward as we parked in the drive. Everyone got out the car as I opened my eyes to look at the house. The windows were shut but from the inside you could see the curtains sway as if wind was touching. Like, no one had been home for months. I watched as the rain would fall from the sky dropping small water droplets onto every part it touched.

"Rachel?"

My mum opened up the boot grabbing Joshes stuff calling my name to get out.

"When did we get his stuff?"

"You were asleep so we didn't want to wake you."

Josh then later opened up my door raising his hand to signal help to get me out. I placed my hands on the side of the seat and helped myself. I grabbed my only bag as I threw it around my shoulder. I slowly walked in front of the house stopping my self in line of the steps and the front door. As I stood there I felt something in my eye. I starting to rub and poke it hoping to remove it. Once the feeling had vanished my eyes watered up. I looked up blinking as the front door opened. I turned around my see Mum and Josh still sorting out the bags. I turned back as 'he' was standing there. The light created a large shadow across his face. Like a dream the sound of a baby cried into the drifts of the wind. I looked down to see blood splatted across the ground. I wanted to scream but no noise came out. I looked up to see the baby cradled in his arms. He lifted his hand placing one finger on the baby's lips.

"Shhh..."

His voices drifted with the wind. I couldn't move; like I was paralysed. He removed his finger, lowering his arm. He took one step back as the door slammed shut. I went to scream stop until.

"Rachel! Come help with the bags if you can."

I turned around to my mum but I didn't help with the bags. I grabbed her keys and went forward to open the door. I couldn't be afraid forever.

We placed all over Josh's stuff into the dinning room as we slowly unpacked everything into my room. We do have a spare room. I mean, we must have this house is huge for the two of us. Well... three of us. But it's got loads of trash in it and it's not liveable.

"Right! As you both! I mean both! unpack i'll go and get us dinner. As you've both been basically eating shitty food, i'm treating us all to McDonald's."

We said our goodbyes as Mum left through the door. We returned back to my room unpacking each box. Each time I turned around 'he' was standing right there. I would walked through him as he turned into air. It would always startle me and make me feel uneasy.
