I began to clean the dishes as I heard Josh grab his coat and walk out of the door. I know we can't keep doing this as i'm expecting a baby but if we get in an argument and the other one walks out to take time, I guess it can help to calm us down so we don't rile each other up to , aggression.

The house fell silent, sometime times in fact most I liked the quietness but this time it, irritated me in a way. I scrubbed around the edge of the cup then rested it down as I closed my eyes, allowed my head to drop then took a deep breath. Quickly finishing the washing up I decided to turn on the radio. The next song that came on was Dancing Queen by ABBA. I used to love this song but I haven't heard it in ages. Whenever I got home from school as a kid my mum would be singing her heart off in the kitchen while my dad was doing paper work. Maybe for most families the father would ask the mother to turn it down but it made him smile.

Smiling ridiculously at the memories I turned the radio up then flipped my hair into a messy bun. I grabbed out the cleaning stuff and started to clean. I know it's weird but cleaning calmed me down and in a weird way, I was in my own world. Grabbing the mop, I filled the bucket with soapy water then proceeded to wash the floors. Occasionally from time to time I'd use the mop as a microphone and sing my heart out.

After at least 2 hours of cleaning the floors, tidying bedrooms and basically cleaning the whole house, I made myself my favourite hot chocolate and lent up against the counter top to admire the hard work I had done. At this point my mum had walked in. She looked exhausted. Without realising she walked into the living room and threw her bags onto the sofa,

"Called in to work now I have to clea..."

She raised her head to look up around the kitchen and living room. Her face lifted. She walked around the whole house checking every room looking in basically every cupboards.

"You cleaned the entire house?"

I grabbed out another cup to make her a cup of tea as I knew she always had one from coming back from work.

"Yeah. I had nothing to do and was stressed and cleaning helped. I started with the dishes and I guess I managed to do the entire house. I got a little caught away."

I giggled as I found it slightly funny. She came over and hugged me and thanked me for cleaning. We then both sat down as she asked,

"Where's Josh?"

"We had an argument that's why I was stressed... He walked out to get some air and to think things through."

"Not again... What happened this time?"

"Well I had my friend Cory round to download some music, and I told him I was pregnant because well he's my friend and it's getting to the point where I can no longer hide it, then I fell and he asked if the baby was okay and then Josh flipped and threatened him if he told anyone. I guess he was trying to help but if I didn't trust him I wouldn't have told him, so I said if that's his way of helping I don't want any..."

Mum sighed.

"Just talk it through with him. You're both gonna be stressed but you can't keep arguing."

My mum kissed my forehead then went to carry on with her night. I sat on the sofa and decided to phone Josh.
