NOTE FROM THE FUTURE: THE FIRST 16 CHAPTERS OF THIS STORY WON'T MAKE SENSE BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO YOUNG FOR THE THINGS THAT HAPPENED AND IT MAKES THE PLOT LOOK IDIOTIC. BUT I CAN PROMISE YOU THIS; IT GETS A WHOLE LOT BETTER WHEN YOU REACH CHAPTER 17 BECAUSE REASONS XD
【Jeff's POV】
"What made you want the prince role?" Marika asked with her elbows on the edge of my bed as she sat on the floor next to it.
This . . . Idiot.
Now I have to audition just to save her first kiss. She's really stupid, how can she not care about that? In the movies, I always saw how girls make such a fuss about their first everything . . .
"I think you already know the answer to that question." I replied emotionlessly as I kept my gaze at the paper and try to memorize my lines.
"But . . . I don't." She replied with a mocking grin. I facepalmed.
"Aren't girls' first kisses important?" I looked at her seriously.
"I don't know, I never thought about it before." She replied nonchalantly.
"Well, do you want to have your first kiss just because of a simple, cheap playlet?" I questioned.
"Well . . . no." She thought for a second. "Now that you mention it, I want my first kiss with someone special." She blushed as she looked meaningfully at me.
"O-Oh." I replied awkwardly and turned my attention back to the script with a blush. Geez.
I've spent the whole night rehearsing just like Marika, she ended up falling asleep on my bed as I memorize my lines and think of a proper way to say it so I can show that Kevin what I can do.
The Next Day . . .
I was currently at the backstage of the same auditorium as yesterday . . . I kept replaying the lines on my head so i won't forget them.
I gave a sigh as I readied myself. I'm not really nervous or anything, I'm just plain bored.
I glance behind me and saw Kevin looking at me with a frown. Pfft, Stupid kid, if he hadn't volunteer then I the play might have gotten cancelled and I wouldn't have to do this anymore.
What a pain.
【Marika's POV】
I sat in the front row as I waited for Jeff's turn. The first auditions were for the animals . . .
Ugh, what's taking so long?
After half an hour later, it was Kevin's turn.
I watched as he act out his lines with confidence and pride, i also noticed that he keeps looking at me. Bleh! Not interested . . .
To be honest, I'm getting nervous. Kevin's performance was great, I wonder how Jeff will do his . . .
Maybe I can just drop out of the play?
As Jeff went on stage, I immediately paid close attention. He walked up with confidence, just like Kevin. He stood there for a couple of second before acting.
I stared at him in awe. He's completely different from the usual nonchalant Jeff that I knew.
His emotions change varying from his lines, he spoke with refine and elegance, his movements were swift as he walk around the stage.
My face seems to become redder everytime we made eye contact. Damn you, Jeff . . .
As he was done, he gave a final bow and left. Wow . . . that performance was awesome.
