Three days later . . .

Jeff's POV

I sat in the living room, breathing heavily, my heart beating irregularly. I couldn't calm down, I haven't slept in three days. Everytime I do, I just have the same nightmare again and again.

The nightmare? It was me, I was my own nightmare. I keep dreaming of Marika, strapped on a chair, begging me to stop as I slowly walk towards her, and what's gruesome is that I always kill her before I wake up.

Every night, Jane would come here and take me out to murder people and I have to do what she says . . . for Marika.

I kept myself sane until this far, but I know that I won't be able to hold on for any longer. This feeling . . . it's coming back and it's more powerful than ever. Sometimes I find myself thinking that I should just accept it because murdering gives me satisfaction, but I got this far, I had to fight it, I just don't know how long I can keep this up.

I heard a familiar pair of footsteps behind me, "It's time." Jane's voice rang through my ears.

Another night of killing . . .

。。。。。。。。。。。。。。。

Marika's POV

I hugged my knees tighter as I took big breaths in. It's getting colder and colder by every hour that passed, I don't even know how long am I locked up in this confounded room. I can't tell whether it is night or day anymore either, there's not a single window in here.

Every wall is made of cement and there's nothing in here but the broken chair and the lamp. How on earth is that gonna help me?

Goddamn it. I have no idea what's going on anymore, Jeff is surely in trouble now and I'm here . . . being the reason why.

My trail of thoughts was broken when I heard keys jingling from the other side of the door. Eventually, Liu came in holding an oil can and a plate on the other hand. I just gave an uninterested sigh, it's been like this all this time. It's like everything is repeating.

"Here," Liu apathetically said as he placed the plate down beside me, "Eat it, you need your strength." He muttered quietly as he refilled the lamp and sat on the other side of the room.

I glared, "I'm not hungry." I snapped back even though I know it myself that I've been starving for several hours already.

And to think, right as soon as I said that, my stomach growled so loud that the only way to ignore it is to have a hearing problem, especially when it's so quiet in this room.

"Are you still not hungry?" Liu muttered, his face remaining emotionless.

Can you shut the fuck up?" I scowled.

"Can you stop bitching about everything?" He said, pissed off.

"Can you stop Jane from being a bitch?" I turned to face him. Liu kept his mouth shut and just stared at me with the usual nonchalant face, and it's pissing me off, "Will you stop!?" I grew irritated at him.

"I'm not leaving 'til you finished though." Liu sighed and looked away.

"Why the hell do you care?" I hissed, "Get out!"

"What's gotten into you?" He gave me a weird look.

"Did you honestly just asked that?" I gawked at him, "What has gotten into me?" I repeated with a sarcastic smile, "I don't know, Liu. Maybe the fact that Jeff is probably insane by now, doing the things that we both don't want him to do."
