Marika's POV

I sneezed at the cold, winter breeze. I slowly moved around and gained consciousness, I sat up and hugged myself due to the unbelievable coldness. Where am I? In the North Pole?

I focused my vision and saw the television turned on in a random channel. Right, I fell asleep last night while watching with Je-

Where is Jeff?

I looked around but I was alone in the living room, I'm freezing! I can't feel my fingers! Ugh, he didn't even cover me up with a blanket or at least wake me up.

Well . . . It's not like he had to. It's not like Jeff has any obligation to do so, he didn't have a reason to and I guess him staying with me for the day was more than enough. Maybe I'm being too greedy.

Shivering, I picked myself up and walked upstairs, my foot is gradually becoming better, I can even walk on it for just a bit, though it hurts when I put all my weight on it.

God, the whole house feels like it's made of ice. I brushed my teeth and splashed warm water on my face to wake me up a little more. As I was combing my hair, I noticed a reddish, brownish spot on the lower part of my neck.

At the same time, Jeff came into view outside the doorway, I gave him a quick glance. Holy. . . his hoodie is all covered in blood again, it's thicker than the last time and the blood is starting to dry up. Geez, his whole hoodie is almost red.

A short memory flash made my head pang but the pain left as soon as it came, the image is . . . A sentence? It says 'Go To Sleep, Kevin' written in red. I wonder what it is. . . ? I know the name 'Kevin' but I don't know about the 'Go To Sleep' part . . .

"What happened to you?" I mumbled in a daze as I studied my neck, shaking the thoughts away.

Jeff walked in the bathroom with a shrug, "A fight again." He nonchalantly replied.

"Uh huh . . ." I muttered, not listening, "I think I got bitten by a bug . . ." I said as I touched the bruise, it kinda stings.

Jeff turned away, "Yeah." He impassively muttered under his breath.

"Hmm . . ." I took one last look at the red dot before turning towards Jeff, "Do you want me to wash your hoo-"

"No." Jeff spun around and said with a gruff voice.

I raised my hands in defeat, "Okay, okay." I rolled my eyes, "Just don't smudge blood all over the house. It's creepy." I frowned, how did he even get those? Exactly what kind of fights is he participating at? How mysterious . . .

Deciding I'm hungry, I groggily walked past Jeff and made my way downstairs and headed to the living room, I grabbed the box of pizzas and took them in the kitchen. Well, I can't cook without a stove or ingredients so this'll have to do . . . Again.

I took out a bottle of water and drank from it as I plugged the microwave on while Jeff's footsteps resonated from the living room. I placed the pizzas inside, now what?

Sighing, I pushed random buttons before closing the microwave. Whatever. I looked at the wall clock to see it's already 3 in the afternoon, I overslept.

A sudden thought came in my mind, Billy is gone . . . As sad as it sounds, I can't keep crying about him and I have to look out for myself, I'm already an adult, I shouldn't keep on depending on others even if I have this amnesia. I probably need to get a job soon too, it's not like my money will last forever, or will it?

The microwave suddenly caught fire and I let out a scream. What the hell, is this house haunted!?

"Jeff!" I called.
