【Lethal Passion USED TO be completed. I decided to write a SEQUEL but it's not long enough to be made into another book SO I'll be posting NEW CHAPTERS in Lethal Passion and it's now changed into an on-going series again
This is like the first chapter of the sequel. I repeat, there will be new chapters in Lethal Passion. It is NOT finished】

Another month later . . .
【Marika's POV】
"Bye bye!" Kathleen waved a hand as she walked towards their car, "Be careful!"
"Oh my God . . ." I gripped my head and groaned in frustration, "Can you not?" I gave her an irritated look, she already said that a hundred times during her stay here.
"I'll be busy, I don't think I can drop by next month!" She shouted back before laughing to herself, "You watch out for yourself." She grinned teasingly before hopping on the car.
"No, go away!" I yelled back. Please just cease her from saying it again. I heard Kathleen's loud laugh as Wilfred waved a hand with a smile before speeding off into the distance.
Finally! It's been two weeks since they came here, it's seriously no fun at all. All I hear is Kathleen interrogating me about the past month I've been 'alone' in my house. Good God, I can take care of myself just fine-maybe, but still, I'm not a kid! I know she's just worried but there's still a limit, she can't just keep coming here all the time in every single month.
I shut the door and stomped towards the back door and went out. The cold night air gently blew against my face, ruffling my hair. I closed the door and sat down on the doorsteps and waited. Jeff knows that Kathleen and Wilfred will only be staying in two weeks so he should come back anytime since it's already late. I booked him in a hotel and told him not to leave, but being him, he probably went out anyway. I just hope he didn't cause any trouble.
I sighed and hugged my jacket tighter. It's been like this every month, it's pretty exhausting . . . hiding Jeff all the time, I don't even know what he's doing during the days that Kathleen stayed here. But one thing for sure, he isn't doing anything bad. To put it bluntly, he isn't killing anyone, I would've heard it from the news if he did and I definitely won't let him off that easily once I found out.
I have his knife hidden in the house, somewhere he won't find, not like he looks for it anyway. I just don't know what to do with it at the moment. I can't just dispose of it without thinking, you never know, someone might find it and that's just more unwanted trouble.
In a daze, I saw a familiar figure at the distance and stood up, "They're gone." I mumbled as if it wasn't obvious.
"She needs to stop." Jeff rolled his eyes.
"I know, but she won't and you know that." I replied as we headed back inside, "What did you do in the past week?"
"Nothing . . ." He shook his head.
I shrugged and locked the door behind us, "Are you hu-" I didn't get to finish my words when Jeff hugged me from behind, "What are you doing?" I said in surprise.
"I didn't get to see you for a while."
"What?" I squirmed from his grip.
"Nevermind." He held me for a little longer before letting go, "I'm tired." He sighed as he walked towards the stairs.
"Well . . . why don't you just go to sleep?" I grinned at him as he went up.
Jeff stopped and stared at me, "Very funny, I'm laughing so hard, I can't breathe." He sarcastically said, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Haha, go." I waved my hand shooed him, "I think I'll watch the news before going to bed." I informed as I made my way into the living room. I sat down and turned the TV on, I watched Jeff as he climbed up the stairs and disappeared into the bedroom.
'Reports says that it could be none other than the infamous killer, authorities are intrigued yet perturbed. Detective Andrews-now in-charge of the case after former leader, Detective Myers was found dead-is currently investigating the crime scenes, but information was leaked in the internet. These are the exact photos from the crime scene investigation.'
My jaw dropped as I processed what is being said in the news. It showed a bunch of photos, most of it were blurred out but there's one photo that confused me. It's blood written on the wall saying 'Where are you?' . Could Jeff be . . . No, he wouldn't. He won't do that again, besides, there's not a spot of blood on his clothes when he came back, but then again, he is clever.
'For now, there is not a lot of evidences nor proof to proved what these means. Stay tuned for more information and remember, lock you doors and windows and keep your family close. Stay safe, everyone.'
I turned the TV off and ran upstairs, I bursted into the bedroom to find Jeff sleeping soundly on the bed. I walked closer to the edge of the bed and stared at him. Did he do it? Was it him? He's acting like his usual smug self just before, but he can lie and be convincing if he wants to. But why would he? I thought it was all over, that it won't happen again . . .
"Jeff." I sat down beside him and shook him, "Wake up."
He groaned and rolled over, "What?" He muttered with an annoyed voice.
"Did . . . you do something bad?" I plucked up the courage to ask.
Jeff sat down and lazily looked at me, "What do you mean? I didn't leave the stupid hotel like last time."
"Not that, I mean . . ." I fumbled with my fingers, "Did y-you hurt somebody?" I averted my gaze to the ground.
He stared at me for a while before speaking up, "Why are you suddenly asking me?"
"I saw the news, there were a bunch of murders again." I admitted.
"And you think I did it?" He muttered.
"Well, I don't know where you've been in a couple of weeks and I just-"
"Marika," He stopped me, "You know I wouldn't."
We stared at each other for a little while as if trying to read each other's thoughts, I soon let out an exasperated sigh and lay on the bed, "Yeah, I know you won't, I'm sorry." I gazed at the ceiling.
"No, I understand why you thought it was me, but I really didn't leave the hotel for the past days." Jeff mumbled as he laid beside me.
"Who do you think it was?" I rolled over to my side and faced him. Jeff didn't say anything. He looked lost in thoughts as he looked up at the ceiling with serious eyes, thinking hard about something. So . . . he does know something about it, "Jeff?" I brought him back to his senses.
"I don't know." He sighed and pulled me close to him, "Just sleep."
I let out a breath and shut my eyes, I've been sleeping alone for a while, thanks to Kathleen. Well, Jeff knows something about the murders, I can tell from his actions since I've been with him for quite some time now. But I'm just too tired right now, he'll tell me about it soon enough, I know he will.
Please, I hope it doesn't have anything to do with me-with us. I've only started getting used to this life, I don't want it to get ruined again. I couldn't help but feel worried about it, it still affects us since we're in this city, the city where the homicides are taking place . . . Why does it always have to here? And who on earth could be causing these unlawful killings again?
