Marika's POV

I woke up and gave a big yawn, I slowly sat up and looked at Kevin. Haha, he looks like a kid when he's asleep.

A small smile formed on my lips as I tried to wake him up, I poked his face which caused him to squirm. His eyes slowly fluttered open and gave me a lazy smile. "Wake up . . ." I mumbled.

"I don't wanna." He sighed and shut his eyes.

"Your boss will kill you if you're late." I reminded and shook him again. After a few seconds, he sat up in a daze, he seems so tired . . .

"You know what? You can sleep for a few more minutes, I'll just cook for you." I offered with a smile.

Kevin's eyes went wide, "That's fine! I'm awake. I'll cook." He said rather quickly as he stood up.

"I can cook too, you know." I rolled my eyes, he started laughing at me.

"Yeah, says the woman who nearly set the house on fire." He snickered, "You go take a shower, I'll cook."

"Okay, I'm taking a day off. I already dealt with some of the company's projects anyway . . ." I mumbled as I grabbed my casual clothes and headed out the room. I guess taking it easy every once in a while is good, It's not like there's an overdue business at work anyway. I can probably relax for a few days if I wanted to.

I walked in the bathroom and took a warm shower and brushed my teeth. I dried myself and wore my usual attire. Pants, undershirt and hoodie, I don't want to freeze in this weather. I blow-dried my hair so I wouldn't catch a cold and brushed it. As soon as i was done, I headed downstairs to the dining room to see Kevin serving our breakfast.

"How can you cook so fast?" I asked as I sat down, he just gave me a shrug and sat down across me.

We ate our breakfast in a hurry since he can't be late for his job and I hate eating alone.

"I'll take care of this," I motioned to the plates, "Just get ready for work." I smiled, he thanked me and left the dining room.

I wore my apron and started cleaning the table, I washed the plates as I waited for Kevin to come down. Moments later, I heard his footsteps so I quickly dried my hands and walked to the front door.

Kevin followed me and opened the door. The cold air surrounded us as we stood on the porch

"Have a good day at work." I smiled, Kevin leant down and gave me a kiss which made me turn red.

"See you later." He grinned as he walked to our car and sped off. I sighed contently as I watch the car disappear as it turned to a corner.

I was about to go back inside but stopped when I saw a familiar person on the other side of the street. To my annoyance, it was the same creep yesterday, who the heck is he? A stalker? Or maybe it's just a coincidence that I saw him again . . .

We held eye contact- or at least I think he's looking at me, I can't exactly tell because his hoodie is partially covering his face. But he's just standing there, facing towards me. I'm starting to get scared.

Alarmed, I quickly went inside and shut the door. I locked it and made sure that the back door was locked as well, this is so creepy and I'm alone. Shit, I should've just went to work.

Then again, maybe I'm thinking too much. I think I should just forget about it. He's probably just someone who lives nearby, right? Yeah . . . I should just chill.

I took some chips and drinks and placed them on the coffee table in the living room, determined to have a relaxing day at home. I turned the TV on and sat down on the couch, I switched channels to channel, just looking for something interesting but stopped when I saw the news,
