Chapter9 – Bathing Suits
"I didn't tell her." I said, climbing into the limo. "She was drinking with her friends so I just left."
"Liv-"
"Don't worry about it."
"I just don't want to be the cause of any problems." He got in and shut the door.
"That's not so bad."
"Not if you know her. It's just her way of looking good in front of my mom and getting some money out of it."
"So she wouldn't really help you?"
"Nope."
"That's messed up."
"She's the older sister so she gets what she wants. If she ever pulled this, mom would just ask her to tell her what's going on next time. No arguing. But when I do it the whole world explodes."
"Have you tried telling your parents?"
"They wouldn't believe me."
"At all?"
"Nope."
"Wow. I'm sorry you have to deal with that."
"At least I'm having fun when I'm out."
"Speaking of fun, I think you'll like what I have planned."
I raised my eyebrows. "Are you sure about that?"
He laughed. "Definitely."

"I hope you don't plan on swimming. Because I didn't bring a suit."
"Liam, the pool's closed."
"You seem to forget who I am."
"Please tell me you didn't spend a bunch of money for us to be here."
"It's possible."
"Liam, you don't have to spend buckets of money on me. I'm totally fine with something cheap." I said, setting my backpack down beside Liam's bag on the chair. There weren't any lifeguards on duty but one of Liam's bodyguards did come. He was still in a suit though he wasn't wearing the jacket.
"Cheap is cheap. And I'd rather not do that."
I sighed.
He unzipped his bag and handed me a teal suit. "Don't worry, it'll fit."
My face turned red with embarrassment. "How do you know what size I am?"
"That's a secret."
"I hope you didn't sneak into my house and measure me."
"Nope."
I bit my lip and walked into the changing rooms. Sure enough, it was my size. How he knew that, I didn't know. It was a little creepy.
"Does it fit okay?" Liam asked as I walked out.
"I still can't believe you got the size right."
"I told you, I have my ways."
I took his hand and led him to the edge of the water. "What should we do first? Diving board or the slides?"
Liam laughed. "You decide. I'm up for anything."
"Then we'll do the slides."
I stood in front of one and looked down. I'd been to the pool dozens of times before. I rode the slides plenty of times. But suddenly, doing it with Liam looked more fun than any of the other times I'd been there.
"On your mark, get set, go!" Liam said, pushing himself down his slide.
I laughed and did the same, laying down so I'd go faster.
I wasn't sure which one of us reached the pool first. I hit the water and plunged downward, the cool water moving my hair in all different directions.
I pushed off the bottom and kicked my way to the surface. Water was in my mouth and my eyes, making it hard to see anything.
A hand grabbed mine and I was pulled forward. I opened one eye and saw Liam pulling me up against his chest.
Beads of water dripped from his hair, falling onto my face and shoulders. He was smiling.
"I forgot how much fun that was." He said, his hands clasping together against my back.
I rested my forehead against his. "I'm glad you brought me here."
"So am I."
I kissed him, my saltwater lips pressing against his. His body was warm against mine and for a few moments I forgot how cold the water was.
Liam moved back until the wall was behind him, still holding me against his body.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"What's it like being famous?"
"Don't you ever get tired of it?"
"I'm used to it now."
"What do you think you'll do when you guys split up?"
"I haven't really thought of that."
"You can always come and be bored with me. We can be bored together."
He smiled. "I will definitely take you up on that offer."
I kissed him again, this time turning it into a full out make out session.
He pushed up onto the concrete and pulled me on top of him, our wet bodies pressed against one another. One of his hands was in my hair while the other was slowly traveling down my side.
He rolled me over so he was straddling me and pinned my arms above my head. His lips moved from mine to my jaw then to my neck. I knew where this was headed and I had to put a stop to it before it got out of hand.
"Liam, stop."
He lifted his head. "What, you don't like that?"
"I do but... not here."
"It's just us, Olivia."
"It's not that. I just... don't want to do this here."
"Oh, right. Of course."
I brushed his hair away from his forehead. "Maybe when you get back?"
He kissed me before he sat back, this time on the ground beside me. "And not at a public pool."
I laughed and sat up.
"Another race down the slides?"
I took his hand as he helped me to my feet. "You're on."
