"Those flowers are really pretty." Lexi said, leaning against the doorframe.

"The guys sent them."

She smiled and walked over to the table at my feet. "Lotus'? Who would send these?"

I sighed and watched as she looked at the card sticking up in the pot. She let go of it the second she read the name.

"I can't believe he would do that."

"Did you expect anything less from him?"

She shook her head. "I wouldn't be surprised if he shipped a snake to the house."

"Okay, I'm not opening any packages anymore."

She sat down in Liam's chair and read the cards in the pots on the bedside table. "I'm sorry, Livvy."

"Why are you sorry?"

"You found the pills and his number in my room. You shouldn't have been going through my stuff but still. If I hadn't done it, you wouldn't be here."

"Lex-"

"I practically waved it all in front of you, like I was encouraging you. I'm so sorry."

"Lexi, I can make my own decisions, good and bad."

She sighed and ran her fingers over my cast. "I thought you were dead. I knew you were going to see Xavier but I didn't stop you or follow you or... or tell mom. I could have done something."

"At least you tried. Mom acted like she didn't know anything was going on."

"She didn't."

I raised my eyebrows. "The all-knowing mom didn't know?"

"I kept her out of it. I distracted her. But she knows now."

I sighed. "Everyone knows."

"We're here for you, Liv." She squeezed my hand.

"What about you?" I didn't know if my sister's problem had become as much of one as mine did. I was hoping not but she took more than me.

She sighed and stared down at her hands instead of at me. "I'm... going away for awhile. I called my school and switched to online classes this semester."

"Going away?"

She nodded and a tear rolled down her cheek. "It's a treatment center. In-patient."

"Lexi, I-I can go with you. You don't have to be alone."

"Your doctors are here, Liv." She looked up at me with sad eyes. "I have to do this on my own. If I'm ever going to get better, I need to do this."

"Liam and I will come visit. I'll send you all the One Direction stuff you want."

She laughed and wiped her tears. "I can't believe they took a break. It's all my fault."

"Liam told me it was because Zayn left."

She raised an eyebrow. "I'm surprised they didn't decide sooner."

"They were touring, remember?"

"Hard to believe you always hated boy bands."

"That's because there was no Liam."

"If it wasn't for me, you'd never have met him."

"Do you think you would date any of the other guys?"

"I'm betting I've scared them away."

I shrugged. "I don't know. I'll talk to Liam and see if he can set you up."

"With Niall, please. I think he likes me the best."

"I'll see what I can do."

She hugged me. "I'm really gonna miss you, Liv."

"I'm gonna miss you too."
