Pizza.

I blew my nose into a tissue then tossed it onto the floor with the rest of the used tissues. I pulled my blanket back over my shoulder, feeling safer and a little less sad under my pile of blankets.

The door opened and mom's expression turned to disgust. "Olivia, when was the last time you cleaned around here? This place is a mess." Compared to the room, mom was a statue in a high-class art gallery. Her lip stick was glossy on her lips and her smoky eye was one you could only hope to perfect some day. Her hair was slicked back, revealing dangling earrings.

"I know."

"I want this place clean when I get home from the market. I'm having book club tonight and I don't want this place looking like a pig's sty."

"No one comes up here."

"Don't start with me, Olivia."

She walked over to the bed and opened an old pizza box. "Did you eat this whole pizza yourself?"

"Lex had a piece."

"Olivia, what has gotten into you?"

"Liam and I broke up. I would assume you'd be happy about that."

"Why do you think that?"

"Because you didn't want me to see him. Every time we had plans made, I was grounded and we had to cancel." She hated Liam. I doubt she even said five words to him the whole time we'd been dating.

"I remember quite a few times where you snuck out, regardless of my rules."

I sighed. "Well I'm not going out anymore so you can stop worrying about me."

"You're my daughter, Olivia, it's my job to worry about you."

"It's pretty stupid to worry about someone who lays in bed all day."

She took the pizza box and left the room, barely saying another word.

"Liam, we heard that you were seeing someone. Olivia is her name?" The interviewer asked, a microphone held up to her mouth.

Liam sat on a couch with the other boys. He was wearing black slacks and a gray dress shirt. His hair was styled perfectly. Just like I liked it. "Yeah. I was seeing her."

"Was? Would you care to elaborate?"

He rubbed his hands together for a few seconds before he sighed. "Some things just don't work out."

I shut my phone off and pushed it away from me. No wonder I was so depressed. I cried over Liam, which was acceptable. But to seek his face out? Interviews, pictures, videos? That was taking it too far.

"Are you just going to lay in bed and sulk the rest of your life?"

I glared at my pillow. "Would that inconvenience you too?"

"Olivia..."

"I'm not in the mood for this, Lex."

"I didn't come in here to be mean."

I rolled my eyes.

She sat down at the foot end of my bed. "Come out with me tonight. We can do something fun, something to get your mind off of all this."

"I'm really not up for anything right now."

"My treat."

I shook my head.

"Alright. Well if you change your mind I'll be at Sandy's."
