Chapter. 45 ~ Different Perspectives.

If there was a moment where my emotions had ever failed me, this was one of those times.

Neither did I feel betrayed or hurt. Just felt like I was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

For a moment I wanted to go up to him, pat his back and say, "Woo, Skylar, you got game!"

But then I remembered, he was my boyfriend.

Cyder squeezed my hand in support, and I didn't want to break his heart by telling him I didn't need it, hell he wouldn't believe me!

A guy cleared his throat in attempt to stop Skylar. When that didn't work, he threw his empty beer cup at him.

Both Sky and Vanessa jumped in shock. And the moment Skylar spotted me, I could swear on a stack of Bibles that his face legit went pale.

I was unsure of what to do, so I awkwardly smiled and say, "Heeyyy."

Alisha, I swear you're pathetic!

Screw you, mind!

"A-A-A-"

I laughed at his reaction and stopped him. "Skylar, it's okay, Really."

Everyone either had no clue on what to say or didn't want to say anything.

I cocked my head to the side so I could see Vanessa who was standing behind Skylar. "Hey, Nessa."

"Alisha, it's not what it looks like-", She started.

I laughed and shook my head. "Vanessa,  I'm not blind.  Weren't you two making out? "

She looked at the floor but nodded.

I smiled.

"Then it's exactly  what it seems like.  But it's okay, really", I leaned over to cyder's,  "Umm... What time is it?"

He looked at his watch.  "02:07, why?"

I looked back at skylar.  "Um..  I really need to go now,  I have practice later and Madam Streb's is gonna kill me. "

Skylar stammered something, but I didn't quite pick it up. I wish there was a way to assure him that I (surpringly) am not affected in anyway, but there wasn't, so I sent them a smile, before turning way and leaving the house.

"And you felt nothing?!!", Alexandra exclaimed, sitting up so her back was straight.

I smiled and nodded.

"I swear I'd kill him if I were you,  matter of fact...  what's his address?", Emma said, rubbing her hands evilly.

I looked at her pointedly. "Emma... "

She sighed, "Fine...  Just tell him to watch his back. "

I looked at her crazily. I mean, I appreciate her reaction and all, but Emma is all talk no action, if you know what I mean.

I shrugged.  "I don't know, maybe I never actually liked him. "

"Yah, I mean, I've seen him, he's definitely someone to lust over."

I gasped and playfully pushed Sasha.

She laughed. "Sorry!"
