Oh winter!
The snow is falling, the air is frigid, and lips are chapped. Winter this year has been more or less disappointing, because our city hasn't even seen one inch on snow.
The best part was seeing her in the cutest outfits, especially warm sweaters.
When I was with her, I didn't get chills from the cold, but from her.
It didn't matter what she wore. She wore herself and that's all that mattered.
I just wanted to hug her and shield her from cold. I never wanted to leave her. But time is against everyone.
Days would steamroll by, and weeks felt like hours. And with her, minutes felt like seconds.
Things were moving too fast, and I felt like I couldn't stand up. Life left me on my knees, begging for time to slow down a little.
But it never did.
I've had enough.
One day, I marched straight into school. Some of my friends saw me and they did the usual 'laugh at Dante for some reason' thing.
And I walked right past them.
They keep up with me or they get left behind.
They stayed behind anyway.
And that's how I figured out who was really on my side...
